I went off Metal when I got the axe, pretty much cut it all out and started listening to depressing stuff. I've always found it to be the most spirit-lifting type of music. It's like having an empathetic friend.

School finished this week for me which sent me on a happy high. I've been going clubbing a lot and I've had a huge craving for Hardstyle, Dancey stuff and Power Metal.

That's why I don't like a lot of folk metal. Most of it is really tongue in cheek. Ensiferum, Turisas and such. And they're so fucking core.

Fatal Portrait isn't great but it's acceptable, Melissa is nearly flawless and is much better than anything I've ever heard from Mercyful Fate,

Melissa is brilliant. Because it's Mercyful Fate's first album. The EP before Mellisa and Don't Break the Oath are the best, because of the guitarists. When they left, it all went to hell.

THEM and Conspiracy are awesome and Abigail II is good as well. I haven't heard the rest of their albums but House of God is said to be good and it will probably be the next King Diamond album I get.

I just find it really amatuer music for a good and unique singer.

Especially DragonForce and Wintersun (at least for me and my friends)

But what is also pretty cool for partys is Melodic Death Metal, I do believe that Melodic Death is pretty well appreciated by most of the metalheads, so when we get together, we can listen to stuff that most of us likes. Sometimes I try to make em listen to Decapitated and Cryptopsy, but it's a little rough for the "part-time metalheads" as I call them.
