He has stuff that is Metal though. I think its silly how he's not counted, when bands like Spastic Ink are.

Dream Theater

Album(s)?

Symphony X (no full albums, just about six eclectic songs)

I've never been sure how to pronounce eclectic and the only time I've ever heard it actually spoken is by Karl Urban (Eómer) in the Lord of the Rings cast commentaries.
And on the subject of films, the cast commentaries on LOTR are almost as good as the film itself... all 12 hours are very funny or interesting.

that sounds like a good name for a rap group

but no that is how you pronounce eclectic.

I knew that.

Does anyone know of any good concerts going on in the U.S.? The only one I'm aware of is the motorhead with Heaven and Hell, Judas Priest, and Testament.

Holy Mountain is pretty awesome. Classic doom/stoner right there. Dragonaut is a great song.

They're actually pretty decent. I picked up From Your Grave on a whim and I was pretty impressed for what it is. They started to go down hill in my eyes after they started pandering for media attention, though.

and om are great, but since chris haikus left i'm not sure how good the new material will be. he'd be a hard drummer to replace.

Post-Black/Avant-Garde Metal.

This signature makes use of various clichés and/or 'emotional' lyrics/quotes, hopefully it makes me appear deep.

those sources would be me of course. don't tell yourself otherwise.

Holy Mountain is excellent, Aquarian is hands down the best song there. om is quite the interesting stuff, mostly for meditative purposes though.

I don't think it ever will be, unless they're working on some really REALLY epic gameplay.

I guess I'm lucky for not only not being so bothered about Duke Nukem forever, but also not too bothered about Chinese Democracy either.

I think of the Megadeth song :P

Oh yes, I forgot about that Megadeth song. Then again, I don't have it listed under any studio albums of theirs, so I usually miss that song.

It might be better than Trivium's supposedly 'Black Metal' album, which actually end up sounding like EVERYONE OF THEIR SONGS!

But that's not a surprise,hmm?

Not quite. First album was black, from then on they've been avant-garde black metal (or post-black... whatever you want to call it). Their newest album (the one i got) is like symphonic black thrash. Not symphonic in the sense that it's a guy playing some synths for layering and chord purposes, it's symphonic in the sense that it sounds like a movie soundtrack had sex with blackened thrash. It's fantastic and really epic.

that's unblack metal. we "black metal types" don't generally find unblack metal good.

but we've been over this.

Unblack Metal has to be the stupidest title for a genre ever. Couldn't they have called it White Metal... or am I being too Final Fantasy?

some people do call it white metal, actually. i think white metal is even lamer (it also makes it sound like white power metal). It can also be called christian black metal.

There's nothing wrong with Christian metal.
