Mabye there would be several huge stadiums or whatnot next to each other. (Three would be optimal)

One of the stadium a concert is going on.
One of the stadiums a band is preping their concert.
The last stadium the previous band is clearing out.

When a band finishes, the audiance leaves the stadium and either goes into the next stadium or hangs out outside till the next conert(s) start.

Its a constant cycle.

And so you pay for which bands you want to listen to.

So if you want to see three bands you might pay $100 as people who want to see all the bands are going to be paying into the thousands.

Its the same case when it comes to In Flames with everyone bitching their older stuff is better than their newer stuff.

That's pretty much what Wacken does I think. Except at Wacken the more popular bands get the big stadium, and more underground bands are in tents and stuff.
