Well, My country is great, just not where I live, literally in the asshole of the country.
The only issues the rest of the country is the gas prices, that are just insane, like 8-9 dollars a gallon?
and the fact that the police seems to be going insane, stuff like this, this, and this happened really often in a really short time.
Then there was some earthquake in the southern lands, Completely ruined many homes, Including my aunt's, It was so ruined she doesn't have anything left, so she decided to leave Iceland, Because shit is hitting the fan.
Things are getting a bit weird, Iceland is going down, back where we Were in old Times.
For the crappy things about where I live, as in Eskifjörður.
The town is broke.
Like 3 years ago, all the neighbour towns were so broke on their asses, and in fucking debt, that they decided to like "Unify the funds of the Fjörðs" and then Eskifjörður was the only town without debt, because we didn't waste our money on Sport stadiums, Swimming Pools, and stuff like that.
So, When the towns unified, they took all of our money, to pay off their debts.
and now they use it to Build even more stuff, While we can't even Take care of our roads.
Last year, the owner of the fish factory, the shrimp factory, the Ships, and all that, Left his fortune to his adopted son, The industry employs over half of the town.
It had been running on tiny profit for years.
His son closed down the Shrimp factory, and sold all the ships except for one, Closed down the Frozen fish place, and is closing down the Fish Factory.
When the factory closes, the town dies, Simple as that.
It's the only thing that gets us any profit, Such amazing profit that it kept up with the loss of all the others, about 40% of the population works there, including my brother, and most of my uncles and such, Good people with families to support.
So I'm living in a broke town, With no Jobs, Except in the Aluminum smelter in the next town built by the Americans, which is killing the only thing we would have left, the beauty of the town.
The Snow is melting, The birds are leaving, Our rights taken away, and the land is Dying.
My family has been here for Over a thousand years,We were the first to come, and we never left, We survived the Frost, we Survived the Change of Faith, We Survived Móðuharðindin, and we survived The Great Plague.
And that makes me Very sad, No-one loves the homeland more than an Icelander.
