I agree. They did influence many Metal bands which, Coroner even did a cover of JH's "Purple Haze" on "Punishment for Decadence"(1988). But, Jimi Hendrix and Aerosmith shouldn't be classified as Metal. The term "Heavy Metal" was mostly unheard of around Hendrix's time. I even know that because my mother told me a while back that she was a teenager around the time she listened to such stuff and didn't even think of the term "Heavy Metal". Most so-called "Heavy Metal Lists" are those of biased opinions. People have to realize that nothing is ever really fact unless it's been proven by the artist themselves.
