I saw them at the Brutal Assault festival last year (going again this year) - they are less good than 'black metal with a trombone' might appear to sound, or less crazy at least.

But i've alway's got excited at Gorgoroth's 'Sexual Bloodgargling'. So very literal.

If Ghoul has left me to discover as one of the men I most admire, there are two kinds of black metal.

Exhibit A: Repetitive a melodic riffs, usually mid paced. Poor production quality. Examples, Darkthrone, and, erm, Darkthrone.

Exhibit B: More focus on brutality and melody, with good production and alot more sophistication. Emperor, Dissection.

Ghoul always liked the latter, though i'm a fan of both, although I like the kvlt, trance-like repetitiveness of Darkthrone, Burzum and early Gorgoroth. And now Ghoul fellates to Malmsteen. Serves him right.
