So i´ve been listening to Testament lately. Strangely, i have found their newer albums to be better.

Bleh. If thrash is your thing then go for it, but I find them extremely unspectacular. I listened to a few songs off of their latest effort and I was bored. I appreciate their contributions blah blah blah, but I guess I'd like to see some innovation or really great songwriting to go along with that praise (that is borderline empty).

I guess. They're black metal first. Fucking great band though.

They also have heavier stuff with growly vocals, if you´re into that.

I liked these, so I'll look for more of their songs tomorrow.

They are relatively good.

These are people who listen to Bullet For My Valentine, etc and all that shit and try to be hardcore. From Killing Is My Business to United Abominations, i say Megadeth kept their metal all the way through.

I really love the title "United Abominations." It's a very clever pun, and really cool too.

I wanted to get it, but I've heard it's pretty average. Maybe I'll check it out. I only have a greatest hits for Megadeth. Shame on me?

Oh, irony, lol. That reminds me. I went to FYE today (never been there before) and they had a fantastic metal section. Necrophagist, Cannibal Corpse, Manowar, Opeth, Gorgoroth, just about everything AND unedited.

You should. It's nowhere near average, its awesome.

Shame, shame oh so very hard.
Go get Rust In Peace, Peace Sells, and Countdown to Extinction. Or just go get the Warchest.

Name for me the 2 best Necrophagist albums you know.
And if anybody minds naming some bands that aren't as tied up in the mainstream as most bands. Basically, stuff you would only find in a shop such as JB-HI FI or in a small little shop that has metal cds nobody has ever heard of.
that i can get a hold of. Anyone?

Mainly just general metal, but also a bit of power, death, and a tiny bit of black metal.

I'm thinking of getting some of The Haunted's works.
The song All Against All is really appealing to me from the album rEVOLVEr.
Anyone familiar with them and if so, recommendations? ;)

I'd say so. If you want to get more of their albums, I highly recommend their first five albums. :)

Well, yes, but if Megadeth isn't your thing, then there isn't much we can do about that.

I'm 110% behind this metal hell idea that seems to have evolved here.
As for my personal metal love read my text on my signature picture.

Crackers! Almost forgot I want in on this metal hell scene, just in case I didn't make that apparent with my previous post :P

Yes, with some folk influences. A pretty good list though.

You're in, every band you listed except Tool (and while I do enjoy them immensely, they are not metal, considered prog rock, or hard prog rock, just not metal) is metal or close enough. You could use some grooming through, :p, so ask around for recommendations to expand your tastes.
Welcome, post well, don't be a douche bag, and you'll very much enjoy your time here.

You mean Dave Mustaine. That little rant made Jerry Falwell look coherant.

Alice Cooper did invent the corpse paint look, by the way. He did it back in the 60's mind you.
Here I am, bored with everything.
