I was playing baseball with a few of my buddies today, and I always pitch. I threw a slider at my friend at bat and he knocked it at probably somewhere upwards around 130 mph at my eye. It hurt like a bitch.
Jesus that reminds me,never try to catch a line drive with your bare hand.
I've been Fab since the re-design,have you?
JUST BECAUSE I LISTEN TO COREY HART :'[

I did that once, it was painful, but this takes the cake, honestly. I have a few cuts around my eyes too.
Here I am, bored with everything.
I chcked out Origin today and got the albums:
Informis Infinitas Inhumanitas
Anethesis
Both absolutely amazing shows of Technical Brutal Death Metal. Which is you like check them out. NAO!

i'm back from a band trip.
normally i'd tell stories about what happened and stuff, but these are the highlights:
1. we cussed. a lot.
2. we had (a)rousing games of ball-tag, the most homoerotic sport ever
3. i got to see the girl i like (but didn't get to talk, just wave and smile)
I haven't been getting any metal for kind of a while, so after I'm done getting fucktons of King Crimson, I think I'll see if I can get some Sigh.
Also, welcome back D3NTATUS.

I was about to get a King Crimson album today, but wasn't sure if Lizard was the album after In the Wake of Poseidon or not. I know it is now, but wasn't sure then. :s
Omfg!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Vital Remains was fucking fantastic I mean really fucking epic my one freind said "it rivals Behemoth and Nile." They had a 19 year old drummer playing for them I think it might be one of there sons.
Also Monstrosity was there too fucking awsome!!! I bought a Vital Remains shirt and shook everyone of there hands by golly This is indeed the craziest spring break I've ever had, heck it just started.
I banged my head so fucking hard my necks sorta stiff but I'll live.

Does anyone know if this Megadeth shirt is officially licensed? I´m going to get a Megadeth shirt and this is the coolest one i found, but i´m just curious because Mary Jane is a single from SFSGSW, but the back has the track listing of countdown to extinction.

That website doesn't know what it's talking about. I wouldn't trust it.
I mean, Nickelback and AC/DC were in the heavy metal shirts section.

I can understand AC/DC being mistaken for metal, but Nickelback?
Nickel-motherfucking-back? How does one come to that conclusion?

Like this:
"oh wow this is so much heavier than Sum 41 IT MUST BE METAL!"
in other news, I was just listening to Aarni, getting all into the groove, and i accidentally opened my CD player. FUCK ME. I hate that.

I really hope they make another album. I wouldn't be surprised if it would be metal. Their last album was pretty heavy. And I would be so greatful if Bill Bruford came back.
also, needs moar chapman stick.

this is a good thing. More people should be doing this.
Are you people paying attention? Check out Aarni, you fucks!

How did you manage that?
At 4/6/08 06:07 PM, Sense-Offender wrote: How did you manage that?
I don't even remember. i was rubbing the groove between the top and the bottom or something and I accidently hit the switch or pried it open by accident.

Well, there's the problem. You made it ejaculate.
At 4/6/08 07:01 PM, batman64 wrote: Looks like I am going to see Opeth and Dream Theater as part of the Progressive Nation tour.
Now the only band I have really listened to is Opeth so what should I expect from Dream Theater and the other 2 bands?
YAY! A question right up my alley, Bill. First of all, Dream Theater is pretty light, still metal but easily digested. They like to wank a lot live and play longer songs. The best stuff from them is older, so keep that in mind. Newer stuff is eh, but mostly they'll play whatever the hell they want. Between the Buried and Me is a Prog. Metalcore band with a lot more metal than core. They've gotten progressively better as their career has gone on. Colors was a great album, top ten of 2007 IMO and they might play something off of that. A few songs off of Alaska, they album before Colors, might be played also. Generally Alaska is OK, but anything older than that kinda stinks. Three is just a Prog Rock band, little to no metal. Their newest stuff is borderline prog. metal, but they have a bunch of other crazy and sometimes weird influences. They're hit and miss, and they'll likely open up, I think. Not great. BTBAM and Dream Theater are worth checking out though.
I'm going to the second NYC show, I can't wait....
Also, sorry to hear that Idio, hope your face feels well.
Obligatory post, I've been lurking a while. Haven't felt like posting a ton because I'm getting sick. Bleh!

How did you manage to see that? I can only tell its Countdown To Extinction by the abacus on the back with the skulls and all.
It could be a shirt from a tour they had somewhere, or it could be a rip-off shirt.

Only a few days 'till my Birthday,I'll be going home to Eskifjörður in 3 days, Back to old country.
In Iceland, Country goes to you! ...then pillages you and Rapes your family, whilst hitting you in the face with an axe.
Anyway, It'll be fun messing with my brand new Xiphos, and getting totally fucking wasted on the 17th, because of my birthday, And in Grief of my Granny's funeral being on my actual Birthday, The 15th.
If I am not made a birthday thread, I will bathe in Disappointment.
Appearantly, things have just been unbearably boring at home while I've been away, But then again they always are, the people in my school are ridiculously unfunny and unoriginal, and I'm not there either to piss everyone off and cause drama (IRL trolling lulz)
Seriously, every time I go somewhere, when I get home people are always like OMG :D and people that I don't know at all hug me with joy, which Is sort of annoying because I hate most of 'em, and so do they me (IRL trolling)
I heard the New In flames today at FYE (which btw have the best grouping for metal I've seen yet in america), and Despite it being amazingly bland, I still got this irrestible urge to buy it, But I didn't.
Also heard the New Meshuggah (Obzen) It delivers, but doesn't amaze, Is what I got from it, although just from a 30 sec preview of each track, Also LOL at it being sold at hot topic, Wtf, Dysrhythmic Scene Girls?

If you get the chance, go to Amoeba. They've got stores in LA, San Francisco and Berkeley, so it's somewhat far from Eskifjörður, but they've got a good metal section. Unlike other bands, they don't put shit like nickeback and buckcherry in the metal metal section. The only problem is that it just puts all the extreme metal in the section labeled "black metal." So you can find doom, death, etc where there should be only black. But really that doesn't matter, there's fantastic metal in there.
I saw bands and albums I've never even dreamed of seeing on store shelves. For example: I saw Mayhem's Dawn of the Black Hearts. I got to see Dead, well, dead on the cover.
Amoeba is like Mecca

Any of you guys like Shadows Fall?
I just bought their most recent album and I was wondering how you guys would classify them.
Thanks :P

I think they're a combination of thrash and metalcore.
