All those bands are great. Though King Crimson is the best band that ever existed, it isn't metal. It's progressive rock.

Its not one particular thing. Its just that you've had a lot of long quality posts lately. Good recommendations, interesting conversation - quality is kind of important to me. I'll have to see if I can dig up that extra track. The version I "bought" lacked it. I'm planning on really just purchasing it outright soon, its becoming one of my favorite Doom/Stoner Metal albums period. But that's why it has such a good reputation, right? :p

I got to ask though - anybody else that's relatively similar to them besides more Electric Wizard. Not like a carbon copy or whatever, but I like the fuzziness a lot for some reason. Makes it sound really, really fucking heavy.

I don't think (think being the key word) that anyone here is off-put by what the content of your posts are, just how they are presented. It can become annoying after a while. First of all man, my condolences. The loss of a family member is always tough. It'll be alright man.

Second of all, Smeagol wasn't being harassed and nobody was giving him crap. Nobody has any problem with him at all - you probably misread the conversation. Its not who he is or what he posts, just how he does it. Furthermore I believe he is making a sincere effort to clean it up a bit. I think everyone appreciates that. He's still a trusted member of the Hell.

Third of all, Prog Metal is METAL. Therefore it belongs in the METAL Hell. I didn't like 5 pages of conversation about Power Metal (and I don't think you did either, but that's beside the point), but I sat through it and didn't bitch. One thing you notice about the Hell is that it tends to be cyclical when it comes to genres. Right now, we/I am talking about Prog Metal because I'm listening to it now (and others apparently are as well). There isn't anything wrong with that. If you don't like it, you don't have to listen to it. More power to you, that's great - to each his own. But don't say we shouldn't have good conversations just because you don't like the topic. Free pass for your personal situation right now man, I know its tough. Next time though, chill out and don't post, or post about something else to talk about. Something you enjoy is right around the bend, I'm sure.
