And to answer your question, one of the problems is that not many people know what metal is anymore. A lot of people believe that bands like Slipknot and Korn, or bands like Guns N' Roses and Poison are metal. So, a big problem here is confusion.

I <3 your taste some times. You listen to Porcupine Tree, right? Some other people (they know who they are :p) listen to tons of prog metal, but just not them... Which is a shame, because they keep getting better and better IMO.

If anyone needs any old prog rock recs, I've been listening to a lot of really late 60s early 70s prog lately and enjoying it. Sometimes its good to feel out the roots of what you enjoy.

I think it's been a while since I've last been here. Last time I visited, we were just on page 700 I think. Anyway, it's great to be back here.
Reason I didn't attend to this club in a long time? Too much reasons actually, the biggest bummer was a month long of disfunctional internet, plus a shitload of timeconsuming bits that needed to be taken care of.

I've only heard their stuff from Stronghold to now and in love with it so much that I'm scared to check out their older stuff for fear that it won't be as good. I hate it when I listen to a band's new stuff first. I kind of like to listen to their earlier albums to start and sort of follow them in their progression.

Dear god no. In fact I don't really think I have a thing. I listen to an odd combination of whatever I get my hands on and happen to enjoy. Most of the Death and or Black that I listen to normally has to have other influence. I can't listen to anything kvlt or brutal without snoozing.
