yeah :)
Heh. I own figure number 5 and a predators portrait, if you ask me, I like A Predator's Portrait more. Its kinda strange how both In Flames AND Soilwork changed their sound at around the same time.
I prefer older In Flames and the older Soilwork songs, the new stuff is good, but I prefer the old.
I agree with you, I like new Soilwork a lot, but I think that "A Predator's Portrait" was their best album. BTW, has anyone of you heard a sample of the new Soilwork album yet? To me, it sounds very promising, it sounds like a mix of old and new Soilwork, and Björn's clean voice sounds even better now.

I havent heard very much but what i have heard was great :D
It's been ages since my last post here. Sorry for that.
Anyway I found two really good bands. The Haunted and Defiance(the metal bands, not the punk band with the same name). Both are awesome bands. You should all give them a listen.
That Testament, Metallica, Manowar and Maiden tribute I told you about is pretty soon. The crappy part is that they are dumb enough to put the Testament and Manowar tributes first and the crappier shows last. So basicly I'll either have to go home rather early or spend a couple of hours there for no good reason.
Besides, according to what I've heard, the Testament tribute is done by a slipshod band (a clevel word, don't really know what it means).

I knew The Haunted for many months already :) I agree with RageofOrder, "Shadow World" is their best song for me.

I'd spend the couple of hours there, maybe one of the other bands is worth listening to.

sounds too much like Slipknot to me =P

I saw it and I don't know what to think of it. The song itself is not really good, one of In Flames' worst, I think.
BTW, as far as I can remember, FishClock is Crap_Clock.
hey everybody whats up? i recently joined metal hell and i was wondering has anybody seen this awsome documentry called"the metal years" (the decline of western civlization part 2)
its a really good movie by penelope spheeris who did waynes world 1 and 2. it looks at old school metal and how metal evolved from hard rock and stuff. its a really good movie , i think that anyone thats into metal should rent this movie.

not Surprising as its from one of their worst albums "sound track to your escape"
BTW, as far as I can remember, FishClock is Crap_Clock.
Thanks for the information, so i'll take what is said by him lightly or disregard it alltogether :P
Good to see that you know The Haunted. A great band, Revolver is probably among the best albums I've heard. You should defenatly get it. I just love how they mix these Death like bits here and there and the way the Vocalist just goes all out adds a lot to the music.
I asume you have all heard Amorhpis' Black Winter Day. As far as I know it's their only song that's any good. Do you happen to know of any other good songs by them?

Yeah, it's nice thrash with some death bits inbetween. Good band. I haven't heard a single song from Revolver yet.

New Amorphis sucks, there's some good stuff in their old days, especially the album "Tales From The Thousand Lakes". Check that one out.

According to my knowledge, Metal orginally formed during the Bristh Blues Movement of the 60's, while hard rock evolved from the style known as Blues-Rock during the mid-60's. Both Metal and Hard Rock formed from simlar genres, but neither of them evolved off the other.
Ill check it out though, it looks pretty good.

The question is which is their worst Album? Soundtrack to your escape, or Reroute to remain :P

The worse of those two though is Soundtrack. I thought R2R was really good, but theres only one in every 40,000 In Flames fans that will agree with me
I dont really like soundtrack to your escape.I like rtr thats a good cd.

I love all of In Flames' Older Albums; The Jester Race, Lunar Strain, Whoracle, Colony, and Clayman. But I don't really like the newer ones that much, R2R and Soundrack to your Escape. they are OK, but they suck comapred to albums like Clayman.
Is it me, or do all In Flames songs sound exactly the same?
At 1/6/05 05:07 AM, HYPERSATAN wrote: Is it me, or do all In Flames songs sound exactly the same?
It must be you. Even though a lot of songs on Reroute to Remain and Soundtrack to Your Escape sound too similar. I don't see that on the older albums, though.
BTW, I liked Reroute to Remain, not as much as the older ones, but it's nice.
Their worst are Lunar Strain and STYE. Well, I don't really consider Lunar Strain an In Flames album. It has Stanne on vocals and he makes it too much like old Dark Tranquillity.
Meh whatever
I just don't like the whole Melodic Death thing

Well, Lunar Strain was their Debut Album, and it was before Anders Friden joined the band, so it sounds a lot diffrent, especially the vocals.
