Oppugnant, shout when you got some of your stuff online.

Well, I got some money from my income tax adjustment today, which does finally fill my pocket again. My salary will come early next week, most likely. I hope you gonna find something dude, I know the feeling of being broke for too long and I hope you don't have to endure that for much longer

Grant as in Fund or something?
Anyway!
on the Subject of Funds, The Icelandic government has recently created a 70 million krónur fund towards evolution of the Icelandic music scene, it Will go to Young musicians, that have enough talent, And potential.

While most of these bands will probably be shitty post-rock and Alternative crap, Some of this might enhance the Metal scene...

Just earn under £15,000 for 25 years... then it gets written off :).
And also, on £15,000 your children will get the same benefits... its a glorious cycle.

I listened to Terria by Mr. Townsend today... and I wasn't as impressed as I thought I'd be.
Ideally it'll grow on me, but it didn't quite fulfil the idea of the album I had when I first listened to Earth Day so long ago.
I got Synchestra and Accelerated Evolution too :).

I really liked the Roundhouse tapes as well. From what I heard, the new album should be coming out sometime in the April/May area to coincide with their tour with Dream Theater and BTBAM.

If you guys haven't checked out Colors (old fucking news, I know), do so now. Good shit, even if its from a partly core band.

Doomsword is such an excellent band. Today I was just like "Dude, i should listen to Doomsword." oh man i forgot how much i love them

Well, I would've done my interview with Erik from Hate Eternal tonight, except that:

1. The HE van is broke down in El Paso
2. His voice is really fucked because he's sick

So, no interview. Maybe sometime in the future, but not right now apparently.

At any rate, been listening to Devian a lot lately, their new CD is fucking awesome. For those that don't know, Devian features (in my opinion) Marduk's best vocalist Legion, and he sounds ready to stomp motherfuckers on this album.

i dunno yet. he gave them to me on a USB, and i have to restart my computer for it to work. so i'll tell when i'm done with that.

So the albums Caleb gave to me are:

1. Amon Amarth - "With Oden On Our Side"
2. Behemoth - "The Apostasy"
3. 3 Inches of Blood - "Advance and Vanquish"
4. 3 Inches of Blood - "Fire Up the Blades"
5. Kalmah - "Swamplord"
6. Kalmah - "They Will Return"
7. Norther - "Death Unlimited"
8. Rammstein - "Rosenrot"

i have yet to listen to any, hahahaha. but it looks promising, looking at the reviews on MA and such.

The bluegrass breakdown at the end of ants of the sky.

Sun of nothing is a good one too.

That's good shit, all the albums. Even Rammstein's album is good (I own it FWIW). The Apostasy was one of my favorite albums from last year, and all the other bands are excellent. Good deal.

I totally agree, I also love the last 4 or so minutes of White Walls, from about the breakdown onward. That solo is nuts! Good fucking song.

Won't be until at least halfway through the year.

1. I really am an amateur. Only been playing 1.5 years.
Though I'm really going to get serious about improving.
To give you an idea of where I'm at I just taught myself Symphony of Destruction, I found it fairly easy, but had a bit of trouble;e getting it up to speed.
2. Don't wanna halfass it. I want to submit something of quality.
Which is where my lack of knowledge about song writing hinders me.

Also I acquired Beatcraft and had a play with it. Seems fairly easy to use.
Anyway else use it? Or use something else they recommend?

If anyone in here likes Summoning, you should definitely check out Protectors industrial band Ice Ages. It's similar to Summonings work in a way but of course since it's industrial it's all electronic and it's a lot darker and less uplifting then Summonings stuff but it's still pretty kickass.

I downloaded the free song from there official site. It is indeed kickass. I'll try and get one of the albums soon.

Meh;

Belphegor
Arch Enemy
Hypocrisy
And lots more.

Assuming that you already own a Wii:

Step one: Either through WiFi or whatever means you have, go to the Wii Shop

Step Two: You probably have to pay for it (it used to be free), but buy/download the internet channel. Its powered by opera and pretty useable.

Step three: enter whatever URL you want, and post away. There is an onscreen keyboard, but I've heard you can use a USB keyboard if you have one.

Step four: ??????????

Step five: PROFIT!

I'm bored and I don't have any folk style metal. This seems to be a stong suit of the Hell, so I'll ask, any reccommendations? I already know Finntrolll, Enciferum, korpiklanni, etc. etc. etc. I don't care what other subgenres it falls into, but black metal is a plus.
