That sucks. Thank god my net hasn't died so far, I'd be like "NOOOOOOOOOOOO IT'S HAPPENING AGAIN!!!" and be offline for a long time till it's fixed like what happened for a year and a half till I moved out of my nan's.

Oh, wow.
High On Fire is coming to a club that's in walking distance from my house.
I never thought this would happen, mainly because Milford is a sleepy little town not bordering any major city (read: i live in connecticut hello).
:D!!!

That's what it was like when Panic Cell played in Dartford. A town walking distance from where I live, and some place even people in the UK may not have heard of if they don't live in the Kent/ S.E London area.
They were a surprise headline band so it was pretty mental having them come on xP

aar I hate you now. Why won't awesome bands come withing walking distance from my house? OH yeah, I live in an unknown little village....although Nicholas Cage came through here once.
In my area, you usually have to go to Poughkeepsie to see any good bands. Speaking of which, Queensrÿche is playing at the Chance Feb 6. I probably won't be able to go, but I'll see.

Sleep is the quintessential stoner metal band. If you do not like Sleep, you do not like stoner metal.

How was I supposed to know if it would be months or days or weeks?
I seriously thought about it. When we do vocals for it, we can rerecord it and upload it on helfors profile :).
hows that kidd?
So, I'm seeing Gigantour this year in Chicago.
I've only god music from Megadeth, though, given my measly 70-hour music collection. What releases from the other bands do you recommend I listen to which will 1) sound good, and 2) give me a good idea of what to expect in their live set?
The bands are: Megadeth, In Flames, Children of Bodom, JFAC, High on Fire.

Anyway, I finally got Scrolls of the Megilloth. It came with Primitive Rhythm Machine and The Silver Cord is Severed. Of which the latter sucked major balls.

It's funny, I live so close to Mortification. Literally an hour's drive away from their home town. Yet I've never seen any posters/promotion or even heard of them them touring around.
In fact until you mentioned them here in the Hell, I'd never heard of them. (Going back a few pages now).
Could you shed any light on this?

Ah well that could explain it, live performances can be quite physically demanding.
They do have some Live Albums though. Most of them from a fair while ago. But they released a Live Album just last year. Perhaps older recordings?

Frick, I miss my metulz. :(
Seriously, I haven't listened to it in about, 3 weeks, and I haven't heard anything new for around 7-9 months. Any suggestions?

I was never a hardcore satanist, but I enjoyed the 666 fun back then.

What if I don't like Dopesmoker? I wouldn't mind if it was about 15 minutes long, but an hour long?! I just wish it was a lot shorter than it is, but maybe that's because I don't like stoner metal as you said...yet.

Have you heard Dopethrone? Find that album and listen to it. If that doesn't change your mind about stoner metal, THEN NOTHING WILL.
The album has much shorter songs, the longest at 10 minutes, so it'll keep your attention.

So my freinds gonna let me borrow Carpathian Forest And Bloodbath soon I can't wait!!!! :D

Well, I listened to the track you provided and I don't think it's that bad. The production is pretty horrible, even for a demo, makes old Burzum sound like The Black Album. The track is too long as well and doesn't have enough ideas. Some of the riffs are good though, as are the haunting vocals and the gloomy interludes. Nothing I'll be hearing again very often, but bearable.
