I'm going to read 1984 soon. Mainly because it's for school and we're suppose to come having already read it before school starts.
But also from what I've heard about it, it's quite a good book.

I haven't seen the final cut, but I love Bladerunner.

And you still look like a younger Donald Sutherland with a beard. XD

so i got the new ulver album, and i was...surprised! i heard they wus folky black metal, but still its pretty cool. i need to get used to the vocals though, at first they seemed a bit annoying. the cover of black sabbath's solitude is pretty awesome.

at the moment i mainly seem to be reading about is the russian revolution and trotsky, cuz of the history course i'm doing. i read henry rollins black coffee blues last week though, pretty depressing stuff but good. ah and im re-reading the silmarillion, godfather of all epicly epic fantasy.

I'm still waiting for those CDs I ordered about 2 weeks ago, but they should be here in a few days time. Also, since my dad traded in the duplicate Black Sabbath - Dehumanizer I had, I decided to get Dio's The Last in Line album today with the HMV gift voucher I had. :)

Pick up Perdition City and Blood Inside. I like them more than Shadows of the Sun (even though shadows is pretty excellent anyways hah). I still have yet to pick either of their BM albums, or their folk album.

welcome back bill, nice to see a horseman return :)

in other musical news is it wrong that i have gotten into the "techno" acts:

Infected Mushroom
Astral Projection
Orbital
and Pendulum

I'm really enjoying them all at the minute its really nice change of pace as i sorta overdosed on death metal, grindcore, and cyber grind....

Folk black metal Ulver only lasted their first 3 albums. The Black Sabbath cover is indeed very awesome, btw.

Welcome back Bill. ;)

Oh yeah.... I'm seeing Dream Theater on the 28th.

It's not illegal because it was written by a bunch of 12 year olds and 7/8 of it is utter BS.

It also happens that 12 year olds read it, and have access to none of the chemicals required for making anything more destructive than a sparkler bomb. Not that it matters, because next to none of the recipes would work.

Hm, sounds cool.

In other news, I let Lee listen to Dethklok on my MP3 player, and he said they were 'fucking awesome'. And the guitars were especially 'kick ass'. Whereupon I informed him that they were not a real band, I was expecting a more hilarious response than 'So?' But oh well.

And everyone, watch this. It's pretty funny.

Man, I'm sick of this poser at my school. He thinks that late Pantera, Slipknot, and Korn is the heaviest shit ever, and he brags about how hardcore he is and how he listens to all this "death metal" and stuff like that. Only a few close friends know of my music taste, I don't boast or anything. The truth is, he went to my house, and I was blasting Severed Head Stoning. He ran out of the room screaming like a girl. I was going to direct him to the right path of at least decent metal music, but everytime I tell him something like that, he spreads it to every person in the building, like when he skinned his knee. Fuck.

tl;dr, faggot doesn't know real metal, pisses me off.

Death Metal ignorance is funny. I read an interview with Mike Portnoy and the interviewer was going on about Systematic Chaos and saying how it had these elements of Death Metal in it.
The thought of James LaBrie growling is rather funny... his strained face :).

I am of course talking about Dream Theater, not that it needs to be said, as its me, but I thought I should clarify that for those not in the know.
Or maybe I just like the name and it colours my pants...

There is worse though.
Classmate Will: "Metal sucks"
Me: "What have you heard?"
CMW: " Linkin Park"
Me: "That's not metal"
Classmate Brandon: " Yeah, things like AFI are metal"

EH?

And just like that....he was gone...

i wasn't sure if he was joking or not, but my friend said that Rob Zombie is metal. Then he said he wasn't really metal, but industrial (which is closer). So i don't know if he was just bugging me or if he was serious.

Then he told me to go to the As I Lay Dying concert soon.

Yeah, me as well. I think a lot of us here probably do.

Posers are seriously the most annoying people alive. Especially when they brag about how HaRdKoAr they are. Yet when you try to correct them, they block you out.

I don't try anymore, I just laugh at how moronic they make them selfs look.
