I don't listen to "troo" stuff often, in fact barely. I resent the culture some times because of the obsession with being more and more underground, however:
Lifelover
lawls at the band pic. These guys are serious. It may be an undercut to make fun of a band's image, but it was funny regardless. I personally don't listen to them.

Excellent.
Nanowar
if its Manowar and you typo'd, then they are classic, even though I don't like them that much. I googled it just in case (I've been surprised before by one-letter-off band names) and apparently a Nanowar parody thing exists. If its them, IDK...
I think I can say I have a rather varied taste. Pretty much anything that's called metal, and quite a lot of music that's not.
I'd definitely say you're in, and its not like I listen to exclusively metal either. I just enjoy it the most.

I know that. This isn't the Metal Archives board or even something worse than that. But your attitude leaves something to be desired. Its a little condescending, because this thread wasn't going to be and isn't going to be anything but what it is not. Its how I remember it when I was a newfag, just in reverse. Pertinent discussion is always welcome, but if you want more serious conversation, hit up another board. Not that I'm trying to push you out or anything, but what you see is what you get.
Because this pic came from a shining show, a week ago.

Well, I'd get both La Masquerade Infernale and the Sham Mirrors by Arcturus. And everything that Solefald has done is essential, IMO, except for the Linear Scaffold. Ved Buens Ende has only done one full length, which is Written in Waters. Virus also has only done one album so far, Carheart, but another one is being made. I would reccomend getting Gallows Gallery by Sigh. I plan on getting Infidel Art and Imaginary Sonicscape by Sigh sometime, so I can't really reccomend it yet since I haven't heard the whole thing, but I have high expectations. Age of Silence only has one full length album out. The lead vocalist is Lars Nedland from Solefald.
Although I have yet to hear an entire album by Psychotic Waltz (I've heard plenty of their songs, though) I'd get Into the Everflow due to the fact that Freakshow is on that album, and I love that song. I'd also probably get Far off Grace by Vanden Plas and maybe Christ.0. And for Age of Nemesis, I think Terra Incognita is a good choice. And Blotted Science only has one album.
Or, to narrow it down further....
Fleurety - Min Tid Skaal Komme
Solefald - Neonism
Arcturus - la Masquerade Infernale
Virus - Carheart
Ved Buens Ende - Written in Waters
Psychotic Waltz - Into the Everflow
Vanden Plas - Christ.0
Age of Nemesis - Terra Incognita
Coooool :).

The Metal Hell focused on picspam a couple of weeks ago. That kind of shit comes and goes, but I will echo shitonastick when I say most of the true real metal conversations were used up a while ago. Good conversations (such as this one, IMO) still appear every now and then, especially if a decent topic pops up. Mostly the "not metal" part surfaces because of the youth in here as well. Many of the younger member's peers are confused about what is metal, and we can offer answers. Also, there are always trolls. Sometimes some good stuff comes out of it, but mostly it rehashes. BTW, props for reading my long-ass posts. Not too many people do.
The Hell is a little bit goofy, and I think it always will be.

is because of the currrent climate towards that religion that it is taught in western culture, to provide a deeper understanding then the unfortunate view point that all muslims are terrorists, its to over come the fear of the unknown if you like and help deepen your understanding so you grow up to realise not to take everything at face value
