Regardless of lyrical content, regardless of the message, she hates death metal because of the growling. And she called Cannibal Corpse a bunch of 'Devil Worshippers' although I'm pretty sure all of them are just atheists. Also, she hates Megadeth, Iron Maiden (don't get her started on Iron Maiden) and Heloween despite the fact that all of them have Christian members.

i dont quite know what your situation is with your mum but if i were you i would i would talk to her and say something along the lines of, "if someone on the radio or the TV told you not to believe in god and do wicked things, would you?" (insert expected answer of "no of course not") (you reply) "then why do you think that death metal will do this to me" of course she needs to be able to believe that you can be mature etc.
