I hate to say it, but Black Metal is turning into pop music 110%. Why do I say that? Because 99% of black metal bands do it purely to sell CD's or look "kvlt". They do it for the image, not the music.

So it's really just satanic pop music, with a few creative gems in the mix surrounded by aeons of lameness and stupid bedroom black metallers *cough*xasthur*cough*

A band I've recently found to be very entertaining is... Axenstar.
Where I first found them as a bit generic and samey, I've come to realise that they are indeed catchy as fuck and very much brilliant.

I get the chance to listen to lots of music, as I have about two hours worth of bus journies each day, so I can get through lots of the music on my Zen (much better than iPods).

Saying that I've onyl really been listening to Dream Theater, Electric Wizard, Angra, Axenstar, Devin Townsend and Gojira.
Though I did play some Nile :P.
