Turisas has a violinist in their line-up. I don't listen to much of them, so I don't know how prominent the violin is in the music. However, if you haven't heard of them, you could always try Apocalyptica. If you don't know who they are, it's four (five?) cello players playing electric cellos with a metal drummer.
