There's something about them that made me lawl. You Icelandics have all the metal. All we've got for GOOD genres is Waylander. :(

We don't have many Metal Bands here at all, It's just that the few we have all happen to Kick ass, And Get really popular here because of it.
And Now that I have made a Band, This will be even more true .The only annoying thing is that TheWord for metal here is Þungarokk, So Metal often gets labeled as rock in stores and stuff here, Even when It's Death/ Black MEtal.

Also, I'm going to flood yo guys with Icelandic metal Now, I've already told you about some of these bands, But some might have missed it.

Severed crotch "Technical Death with the unique icelandic flavor and mentality"

Forgarður Helvítis. First REAL heavy band in all of Iceland, Basically BROUGHT Metal to Iceland, But It was still just founded in the year 1991 :P

Múspell COMPLETELY Inactive band.

Another COMPLETELY Inactive band, Ámsvartnir. Go to "Lög og textar for teh mp3's"

Potentiam. Inactive as fuck.Sólstafir, Black Metal I think.

over here, at my local music store which i shop at religiously, we have an extreme metal section for anything heavier than thrash. meaning black and death, mainly. some folk and power too. most thrash and just heavy metal bands are stuck in the rock/pop section, such as Slayer and Megadeth.

i've also seen sepultura in rock/pop.

My the music store I go to (Virgin Megastore in Manhattan), has a metal section, which surprisingly, is really good.

I found some Acid King, Bongzilla, High on Fire, Faith No More, and Nasum in that section.

Also, to the Cunt guy, you're in.

I've never thought of this before... but maybe HMV stock their CDs like that so that people looking for MCR will see some Metal band and be all 'Hmm... I'll check this out'.
And then their taste becomes good.

Unlikely mind... but its nice to hope according to Mr. Dufresne.

I got these songs:

Kyuss:
50 Million Year Trip
Gardenia
One Inch Man

Fu Manchu:
California Crossing
Evil Eye
Hell On Wheels

Electric Wizard:
Black Butterfly
Dopethrone
Funeralopolis

I've not listened to Dopethrone or Fuenralopolis cause Black Butterfly is still paying at the moment :P.
But I found Kyuss to be all right. Fu Manchu to be very good... but I didn't get much of a Metal vibe from them. And I'm currently enjoying Electric Wizard.

To each his own I suppose. Although I love Kyuss.

Lulz, they aren't really metal. I just suggested some Stoner Rock.

And I'm currently enjoying Electric Wizard.

Unexpected, but great.

I do like them. But I dunno... they seemed not enough or something.
And when I was listening to Gardenia I thought I'd downloaded Fuel by Metellica under a different name :P.

Hmm, they are catchy though :).

May I ask why its unexpected?

In the music store I shop at, all the metal is divided under alternative, rock/pop and what they label "death trash".

no, not a typo.

Almost all the metal is found under the death trash section, anything like Sabbath, Motörhead, etc is under rock/pop and then things like Rob Zombie, Brand New Sin, etc are under alternative for reasons that are lost to me.

And I heard the word 'fuel' in Gardenia and the singer is kinda Hetfieldish...

I was being very stupid.
