No one has anything against Rhapsody, cause they're ace.
But DragonForce are deceitful and make albums that do not accurate portray their actual talent.
Also they make Power Metal seem more ridiculous than it is and the genre could do without that :P.
And they're shit live.
And they are multi-national and we're racist.
Oh and no one likes a Metal band with a decent fan base :P.

I am not that big of a fan of les pauls. I mean they have a good look somewhat though I just never liked the tone I got. Toooo bassy and blues like. They look good but I just dont like the tone. How much did that 7-string set you back?

He is amazing. I like that you can get lessons off him for $50 for an hour if you've got a webcam and a good connection Thats what, £25 for me. Amazing, considering I was paying £10 for half an hour with some old guy who taught me that plectrums were the devil. Its basically like paying £5 more for Chris Broderick, who in all fairness shits on most people in the world at guitar.

I did not know that lol. Plus I have no idea what the hell a plectrum is. Nor do I know any termenology other than arppegio lmao. And vibrato and tremelo. Thats it lol. Though I taught my self to play by listening :(. No one would help poor old bonemeelz./

Still, I think he's a pompous twat and he'd get a sadistic pleasure in constantly reminding you how bad you are in comparrison.

That was a statement full of win. We should do a sort "phycho" like thing with one of his vids lmao.

Your comprehension of the musical world is magnificant. Share it with us.

Anyway, I have comke to inform you all of an endevour of mine. I have recently attempted to widen my guitar skills to all styles.

I spent about 4 hours trying to learn this blues song that had really...REALLY disjointed chords. Like, one of the notes sounded compeltely different from the other.

Classical. Requires a classical guitar, as I have learned.

Jazz...Meh.

Rock. Well what the fuck do you think?

Folk. I play it a lot anyway, so, yeah.

I=Phail.

Amazing.

I like their cover of Cars. Which sounds nothing like the rest of the stuff I've heard. But I'm just saying, cause I don't like anything else I've heard from them.
Although I saw this guest lesson with Christian being totally shagtastic on a 7-string and I was like 'Omg I want pick like that all the same :D'.
Pity he was a bassist.

When you get to the good stuff it's pretty cool. I mean stuff like Irish (With Lambegs! Someone should SO use them in a folk metal band), Scottish and occasionally, some Spanish.

And yes I said Celts, Because the mythology Is pretty cool.

Funny. I've taken pride in being an Irishman and having celtic ancestors for a long time. Yet I know not an awful lot about the Mythos. In fact, I know more about the Norse Pagan mythology that the Celtc stuff.

Here's ALL I know:

If you want the knowlage of an animal, either eat it, or skin it and sleep in its skin.
Mistletoe is magical when cut using a goldens sythe by a druid.
Druids>You
Don't get overweight. Or else.
When you offer something to the sea Goddess, break it first, so she doesn't hurt herself.
War>You
You>Romans
Dog Shit>Romans
If you get kicked out of ceremonies by a Druid, it would be best to hang yourself than suffer the humiliation.
Never straighten a spear with your tooth.
Never strike a woman.
Don't do both...EVER.

Lol Týr's Last.fm page is fucked, the record company uploaded techno tracks instead of real songs HAHA.

You should listen to them, I kow you're a celt and stuff, but Týr is really good music, It isn't super heavy, It's super complex though, Not very fast or anything, Always clean vocals And stuff.
If you want, i could upload some on Sendspace or whatever.

You mean the commercial thrash then right?

You obviously haven't heard Vio-Lence, Dark Angel, and Pandemonium. Technically Pandemonium is South American, but you only said you don't like american style thrash.

yes you will have to excuse my lack of knowledge on the subject as i dont really listen to any i dont know anything about it, its more to do with vocals in the majority of cases and sometimes the guitaring like on annihilators best of which i got from a friend the style of the guitars on the track human insecticide (and a few others) really gets on my tits, for me to like thrash it needs a more extreme edge eg harsher vocals etc

I'd really like to have some really epic music that's fast, awesome, epic, etc. Something that makes you want to imitate the double bass pedals on the ground and bug everyone in earshot. What I'm thinking is especially epic folk or power-folk. Or power viking fok. Or anything that's epic, and folk. you know? sorry i'm not being coherent, hahaha.

suggestions please :D
