Holy shit, I only joined (officially let in) on page 1133. Wow, I posted like such a fucking dumbass back then. Hitman also joined either right before me or right after I did, but I can't be crystal clear on that. I'm not even here for 400 pages!

It's amazing how some people progress in terms of posting quality, general discussion and thoughtfulness. I still can't believe I posting like such a fucking idiot before, though. Now I can't tolerate MSN speak, heh.

Eh, seniority here doesn't matter that much. Keep in mind that all the capos have joined hundreds of pages after Triv or Lundi. Besides, we're only on 1,524. You've been her for around a 5th of the ride.

I never really did use 1337 speak, I always used correct grammar, but seeing my early posts almosts makes me sick. I couldn't even recognize myself. It's all about the substance of the post, I bet that I will look at the posts I'm making right now in a couple of months and I will still say "damn, I acted like a dumbass." I'm positive I'll always be a dumbass, I just get a little better with time.

I love writing, although I have the tendency of thinking up great ideas then having no way of tying them all together.

I have the opposite problem usually. I can never think of any good ideas, but if I ever do, they end up working out pretty awesome (I think. :P).

Yeah, I'm in trouble. I'm getting up to the character limit... so, I'm not sure what I'll be doing about that. I think I'm going to cut Pojox from the story -- he hasn't been here in forever, but his Mafia character was so cool... (violin assassin)

Haha, back in the days where we RPG'ed instead of writing stories. I remember we used to "kill" our enemies, which were annoying users who kept trying to get in or made their own mafias, and I remember how that evolved into the story writing we use now.

When I joined, that phase had already finished -- people had begun to write stories, but there will still leftover people would "kill" you and such when you made a bad post. :P

Rocket is probably the guy I miss the most, truly one of my best friends on NG.

Rocket... he was a really cool guy. When I (tried to) read every post in the Mafia, I remember he popped up fairly early and often -- and he seemed really nice too, something not exactly "common" on Newgrounds, y'know?

Still, I only talked to him about once. Maybe once. He was one of those people I had wanted to talk to in the Mafia but I just never got the chance to actually do it... or when I did, I was way too immature to actually talk to the people I wanted to like a normal human being. Rocket included.

I know Charlotte comes back every once in a while, she was an interesting girl. I'm pretty sure she hated me because of the way I acted in Retrogade (now defunct), but I still loved her.

When I look back at my older posts (I try not to nowadays...), I can get pretty pissed at myself at how I simply missed little jokes or obvious innuendos. Charlotte's posts were always full of them, but I never got them -- I was fucking scared to death when she said that if I wanted to join the Mafia, she had to take my soul. :D

... of course, I was the most innocent fourteen year old you'd ever meet... on Newgrounds. Not a good combination. Then I went to high school. :D

Most of my posts when I was really active around here were delving into people's histories and finding the dumbest things they'd said, or finding out that a certain "girl" was actually a "guy" (I'm pretty sure you were around when that happened) -- but, I took everything so seriously... I never really appreciated the Mafia for its great stories and fucking amazing community.

I don't know how Mast3rmind is doing now, all I know is that the last time we spoke to each other we had a falling out of sorts. I wish I could talk to him again, he was a cool guy.

Nor have I. Now and then, when I sign onto my amazing AIM account (once every full moon), I see him on, but I never really talked to him before -- so I don't do it now. Still, a very cool guy indeed.

Yeah, Joic was a story God. I remember he wrote this one about the Mafia divided in two factions, and we were all pimps, it was awesome.

Nice, I never take the time to read every post by a person really but I have read quite a few when it comes to people joining groups I am the leader of or where I have the authority to tell someone if they can join or not. I want to ensure that the people I let in aren't really just assholes putting on a smile for everyone and all that. :P

Indeed -- even I've headed a club in the past, but the Super Mario Club wasn't exactly ever the largest enterprise -- or the most interesting one at that. It only became interesting when there was a huge new Mario release coming out, which wasn't that often. :P

Man, it hurts looking back at my old posts. The Politics forum always pissed me off, because the people that posted there where just a bunch of whiners who weren't smart enough to concede to other people or see the reasoning behind other posts, yet they think they're the smartest users in NG because they post about Politics and that makes them "educated". The people that piss me off the most are those who are let in, then start flaming all the members when they are pointed out their mistakes. I still think we should change the requirement back to 50 posts. 100 posts kind of throws people off.

If you had gotten into it with Charlotte, you would either hate her guts or fearfully respect her. The Phantom/Charlotte fights happened in PM's and other forums, so you can't really find much evidence of their fights here.

Phantom is what I think of as a tragedy. He had so much potential, but he just decided to be so serious all the time... at least when I used to post, I was unintentionally funny when I didn't understand half the things I was saying. :D

Film huh? If I ever got into any sort of association with the movie business, it'd be as a critic, not as a film-maker. I'm still not that good of a writer though, and I don't think I've ever seen enough of the classics (never saw Citizen Kane, usually considered the best movie of all time).

He was, but he was always more of a General sort of person... still, I remember the stories he made -- I think they were two -- they blew the junk I just made completely out of the water. Such an original character...

I feel that the character limit is sort of a guide. If my "short story" is going over it, that means I've written too much -- I like to keep things confined to one, pleasant short post that people can read in a short sitting... unless of course, I set out to make some sort of amazingly awesome epic story, in which case I'd definitely go over. :D

The people that piss me off the most are those who are let in, then start flaming all the members when they are pointed out their mistakes. I still think we should change the requirement back to 50 posts. 100 posts kind of throws people off.

If you had gotten into it with Charlotte, you would either hate her guts or fearfully respect her. The Phantom/Charlotte fights happened in PM's and other forums, so you can't really find much evidence of their fight

I remember how it was always mentioned in the thread, but never actually shown -- it was the rare occasion that they would actually fight in the thread, but props to Ghost and Strauss -- they managed to keep public fighting to a very large minimum.

We really are a sort of elite club, y'know? In a bad way I mean. With the exception of Lebastic (sorry, man), almost all of our members have joined in '05 or before, and we have stringent membership requirements to join.

If I recall, we once told some poor guy that he need 1,000 to get in because he was being such a nuisance... really though, we need to be kinder on those who apply to get in here. Ok, I'll respond to the posts made earlier by all of you but I figured I'll start the battle and post my little story. Ghost, hope you like it.

Ghost

CannibalCorpseFreak and DarkLotusJuggalo stood waiting outside a grand oak door, engraved with scenes of battle and the history of humankind. A maid, one recently hired, stopped doing her work to admire the great door. She knew that behind it, there was a great man, a man so terribly powerful and so wonderfully wise that simple eye contact with him was enough to paralyze.

"We don't pay you to stand there, go back and do your work!" said CCF, snapping the maid back to reality and sending her in a cleaning frenzy, muttering in Spanish. "Damn, the new ones are annoying. I'll make sure she's good in bed later tonight." chuckled CCF, sending Lotus into a fit of laughter. Suddenly, the door opened and out of it came Brit, his face bruised and madder than hell.

"You better watch out in there. He's been drinking." Brit said and walked away, without looking back. CCF and Lotus sighed in disbelief and peeked through the halfway open door. Behind it they could hear a large TV issuing the sounds of a video game. They couldn't see their boss. The two men looked at each other in the eye, sighed once again, and walked in.

It was a large and beautifully decorated room. The floor was a rich, deep red wood and the high ceiling was supporte with large pillars of marble. One wall was decorated by a full cache of weapons, all silver plated and all safely behind bullet-proof glass. The other wall was a large bookcase, with thousands upon thousands of books, and without a doubt, a secret passage to the Godfather's panic room. In the middle of this bookcase a large space had been cut out for a large HDTV, from which Tekken 5 majestically projected. The last wall, the one opposite the door, was glass, also bulletproof, from which you had an incredible view of the mansion's grounds and further beyond, the city controlled by the mafia. The boss's desk sat in front of this window to the outside world, on top of it a large amount of papers, documents, telephones, and in one corner, a golden Desert Eagle. In front of the television, a couch stood, and cluttered around it were electronics and containers of junk food. It was here where the Godfather was, passed out in the couch and hanging limp from his hand a blunt.

"Fuck, doesn't he know that's a fire hazard?" Lotus approached Ghost, meaning to put away the still burning reefer when Ghost stood up, pulled out a Glock from his pants, and shot Lotus through his left eye. Lotus's brains and blood splattered CCF, and through the gaping hole where Lotus's eye once was, CCF could see a clearly inebriated Ghost.

"I....fucking....fucking....w-win...yes?
" muttered Ghost as Lotus fell on the floor dead. "Whoa, shit, was that the pizza man? Damn, n-not again. Here, F-Frag" He pointed at CCF with the Glock "Help me p-put the body away. T-throw the gun. Kee-keep the pizza."

"Uh, Ghost, I'm not Frag. It's me, CannibalCorpseFreak." Ghost gasped and put a bullet in CCF's forehead, which detonated and blew away the top half of his head. The severed part of CCF's head landed a couple feet away in a bloody, hairy mess. "IMPOSTOR! SOMEONE, IMPOSTOR!" Ghost was screaming, pointing at CCF. He shot at the corpse and a bullet ripped through it's chest, a geyser of blood showering the body and all around it.

Brit, Boris, and Hitman ran in. They stopped as soon as they saw the two bodies and Ghost standing in between them, with a victorious look on his face. He swayed and Hitman ran to catch him.

"Dude, get the fuck away from me, you're fucking gay." Ghost pushed away Hitman. "Damn, that was cool. C-call Strauss and t-tell that bitch to clean this mess up. Let's party!"

Brit looked at Boris and Boris nodded. "Ghost, you just killed Lotus and CannibalCorpseFreak. They are...they were members. Don't you remember? CCF was the one who got you that Glock for your birthday last year!"

Ghost chuckled and patted Boris in the back. "Boris, Boris. Good old Boris. I'm positive that I never let no Cannibal in my mafia. You know as well as I do that I'm only scared of two things in life. One is clowns, and the other is cannibals. So, I'll repeat myself once again: shut the fuck up, stop being a douche, get Strauss, tell him to clean this shit up, and let's party, ok? Is that so hard to do?"

Boris sighed and left the room. Ghost stood there, smiling at Brit and Hitman, then threw up and fell on the floor. He stood back up and motioned at Hitman. "You there, yeah, you, the fag who tried to rape me. Get everyone else. I have an announcement to make. I know you're gay, so I don't want to hear anyone telling me that you tried to rape them too. So keep your dick to yourself."

Hitman started to walk away, then turned back. "Listen, I'm not gay." Ghost laughed. "It's ok, homo, I know it's a personal choice. Now go get me my men, you fairy queen." Ghost laughed and pretended to blow a kiss at Hitman as he walked away. "Can you believe that guy? Just tried to rape me. He's a nice guy, though. He would have been gentle." Brit laughed quietly to humor his boss, then secretly wished for all the guys to hurry up before Ghost killed him as well.

Soon enough, Boris and Hitman came back with all the members of the Mafia. Fragment, Snype, Prower, Systems-Error, Tangent, JackFro5t, Kurofelis, Triv and Gu-rilla were all there. All the men groaned when they saw the three bodies. Brit's body was now next to Lotus's, his limbs chopped off and lying in a pile next to the TV. "God damn it, not again, Ghost." whispered Frag. Snype looked around, and fearing his own death, hid behind Triv.

Ghost cleared his throat and began. "So, you're all probably wondering why I've called you in here. Well, to tell you the truth, I've been thinking. I think that-" He stopped and looked around. "Where the fuck is Strauss?" He half-asked, half-screamed. From behind the group came a man dressed in a butler's outfit. "You called, Ghost?" When he saw Ghost's stare, he retracted his comment. "You called, my master?" Ghost nodded in approval. "I'm glad you're here, Strauss. I want you to clean all this shit up, then feed it to my dogs. Then I want you to come back here and perform for us. Sing us some Sinatra, you know? Something smooth."

Strauss didn't move. "Um, master, two things. One, your dogs don't eat human meat anymore. Remember how sick they got last time you fed BigLundi to them? And two, when can I stop wearing this butler's outfit? It's fucking degrading."

Ghost clicked his Ghost and shook his head in dissaproval. "How about you take it off when you stop being a douche, ok? God, you're really an asshole, Strauss. God damn, hurry the fuck up and get out of my sight." Strauss sighed and cleaned up the bodies, put them in a wheel cart that was in a corner of Ghost's office, and carried them away. Finally, Ghost began to speak.

"So, you're all probably wondering why I've called you in here. Well, to tell you the truth, I've been thinking. I think that you're all bitches. I hate each and everyone one of you. Everytime I look at you, Gu-rilla," Gu-rilla turned red and looked down. "I die a little inside. Systems-Error, you made my little niece cry. You're a douche. Fragment, I had sex with your sister. And I didn't use a condom. Boris, you remind me of David Spade. Snype, I think you're secretly a woman. JackFro5t, I don't even know what you're like. Kurofelis, fuck you. Prower, fuck you too. Triv, I love you man." Ghost walked to his desk and picked up his desert eagle. "Now, since I hate all of you so much, I quit as the Godfather. I hope you all burn in hell. Toodle-doo!" Ghost put the gun in his mouth and pulled the trigger, dying instantly. His body, headless, kept walking until it reached the window and fell through it. Everyone was shocked. Nobody talked until Strauss came back.

Strauss looked around and saw that Ghost was gone. He saw the hole in the window. "Well, did he finally kill himself?" Everyone nodded. "Well, about fucking time."

I'm at work so I haven't time read the first Ghost story, but judging by the reactions it's gonna be a pleasure to read. Have a bit of an interesting idea for mine.....might not work out but I'm gonna give it a crack.

As for the talk of when people joined, I think I'm more senior in here than I thought (not that that is particularly senior, but I reckon I've been here longer than about half the current regular posters)!! Couldn't be arsed going though my posts to find out when it was, but it was prior to the 1k mark.

Hey guys, I'm just going to go ahead and assume that I'm allowed to write a story so here it is Ghost hope you like it.

Early Retirement
Ghost sat behind his desk, the smoke gently billowed upward from his cigar and had almost filled the entire room. He sat staring into nothing with past memories playing on his mind, he took another swig from his whiskey bottle and let it burn down his throat. Everything had changed now, his once busy and proud mansion was reduced to this deafening silence. The mafias rivals had been chipping away at their empire for years, the war had raged for years and Ghost barely recognized himself when he looked in the mirror. He hated the look of this old man staring back at him, the silence around him, the never ending war that had plagued him and his mafia.

But tonight it would end. The haunting silence was finally broken with the sound of a crashing door and loud shouting. Ghost knew this would happen he had planned for everything. Another door was kicked open followed by the sound of a loud explosion and screaming. "shit the place is booby trapped" someone shouted, Ghost laughed a little and said "he said booby" then began to laugh again. As Ghost finished laughing his own door was kicked in and a collection of mafia members rushed in after it, their machine guns ready to tear apart ghost. "boss he's up here." shouted one of the grunts. That was all Ghost needed to hear, the boss was here, it was almost time for retirement.

Before anyone realized bullets began piercing through the desk and killed all the grunts in Ghosts office. Their blooded bodies fell to the floor and began to form little pool around them, Ghost took another swig from his whiskey as he took the machine gun from under his desk and placed it on the table. "Douche bags the lot of you." Ghost grabbed his cigar as he made his way round the table. One of the grunts moaned a little as Ghost came close, without pause Ghost took out a silenced pistol and shot the grunt in the crotch.

As Ghost made his way outside the office he hear another explosion followed by more screams, the grunts were searching the mansion but it was empty. Ghost had sent everyone on a bullshit mission while he took care of business. He didn't want this shit hanging over the mafia after he retired. He slowly made his way downstairs toward the corridor all the noise was coming from. As the door opened another grunt found a bullet smashing through his skull. The corridor was full of flames and body parts, the last two grunts fell as Ghost smashed through their skulls with his bullets.

The don spun round quickly, he saw Ghost flicking the ash from his cigar. He quickly reached for his gun but a bullet crushed and twisted his hand before he could reach it. The don screamed, and fell to his knees, Ghost replaced his gun and walked to the don. "You have tried to take away everything from me. You killed my members and now you show up to my home?" Ghost smashed his foot into the dons face. He fell to the ground spluttering blood and teeth, no sooner had his body hit the ground than Ghost delivered another kick to the ribs. He kept kicking until he heard something crack and break.

Looking down at the don with an anger that burned hotter than the fire he smashed his fist into his face again, and wiped the blood over his suit. Ghost took out his gun again and shot the dons kneecaps, his screams filled the mansion and echoed all over. "shut up you fucking pussy."Ghost kicked him again and threw aside the now empty gun. He grabbed the don and dragged him through the corridor back to his library.

Dropping his body in a heap Ghost walked off and grabbed a lamp, he removed the lamp shade and smashed the bulb Leaving the element burning bright. "Last time you sent your under boss I used this on him." Ghost walked back over and kicked the Don onto his back before standing on his chest. "I didn't do it right last time so I'll fix that now." Ghost removed his foot and plunged the burning element into the dons crotch. The heat sizzled his skin and the electricity raced through his body making him twitch and smoke.

Long after the don had died Ghost pulled back the lamp and threw it aside, alone again he stood in the mansion. This time giving into his age, he collapsed onto a seat breathless and covered in sweat. He wasn't the young don he used to be, he puffed the smoke of his cigar and unbuttoned his shirt as the pounding pain in his chest felt like it was getting worse. Ghost could hear his heart beating irregularly felt the pain in his left arm, he knew what was coming. "About time I retired anyway." he muttered.

As Ghost finished his muttering the cigar fell out his mouth and he slumped over in his chair.

Regretfully, but with no surprise, my story has returned to the back burner. I had to take my dog to an emergency vet yesterday (my usual vet was closed), and on top of being 15 with arthritis and cataracts, I think he now has prostate cancer. I now have to keep a close eye on him, letting him out to do his business every hour and making sure he takes his anti-biotics and anti-inflammatories. I don't know when I'll have another chance to relax and compose the next chapter, but I'll try to get it done before the end of April.

So this was based on a poem I understand is fairly well-known over there in seppo-land. Turned out a bit odd and scratchy...........

GHOST AT THE BAT

The outlook wasn't brilliant for the Mafia that day;
They were due for execution, way down Mexico way,
When Strauss died of intestinal gout, And Snype finally slit his wrists,
The Family knew that they wouldn't on the morrow get their grits.

MC, he calmly shit his pants, and BoBo did the same,
While others clung with grimy hope that their plight was not so lame,
They thought, "If only Ghost could get a crack at that last guard,"
"We'd put up even money now, it makes our cocks that hard."

But Nomad had to take one first, as did svelte Hitman,
And the former was a lawyer, the latter barely a man.
So upon the Family faces grimmest melancholy sat,
But Ghost calmly looked at Ghandi, wanting 'some o'dat'.

But Nomad shot one's ear off, to the wonderment of all,
And Hitman, much despised, shot the other in the balls;
And when the dust had lifted, the Family saw what has occurred,
They thought Nomad a hero, but Hitman still a turd.

Then like a thousand goats or more, there was the foulest smell,
The final guard looked evil, and fuck he smelt like hell;
He pounded on the prison door with fists of iron vice,
"The back-up it's a-coming, then we'll put you cunts on ice."

There was ease in our Ghost's manner as out came his hidden piece,
There was pride in our Ghost's bearing as he unfurrowed furrowed crease,
And as, with face of pure calm, the silencer was on,
All the Family knew that Ghost was here and had his game-face on.

The Family's eyes were on him as he raised 'Jimmy' to his eye,
The Family's tongues licked spittle as he cocked his elbow high;
Then while the guard fucked Strauss' corpse in every single hole,
Defiance flashed in Ghost's dark eye, as he licked his lucky mole.

And now the pitch-black bullet went a-hurtling through the air,
And Ghost, he stood a-watching it in haughty grandeur there;
Close by the copulating guard the bullet rightly sped,
"He fucking missed," wailed Britkid, "Oh, well," Ghost calmly said.

MC's throat, dark with faeces, let out a muffled moan,
And Nomad pressed BoBo for repayment of a loan;
"Suicide, the sanest option," shouted Frag, the dapper dan,
It's likely what they would have done had not Ghost raised his hand.

With the smile of a pederast, great Ghost's visage it shone,
He grabbed Frag by the throat and roughly told him right from wrong;
He raised the rifle up, and once more the bullet flew,
But again it missed it's mark; Triv fainted, DLJ too.

The Family turned their backs on Ghost, called him a stupid cunt,
But one scornful look from Ghost turned their faces back to front;
They saw his groin grow harder still, they saw his pants-crotch strain,
And they knew that Ghost could not possibly miss his shot again.

The sneer has fled from Ghost's tight lip, the teeth clenched like a vole,
He stands with cruellest violence and licks again his lucky mole,
He fingers the sleek trigger and now he pulls it tight,
And now the sparks spew forth in to the darkest deepest night.............................

The blood lies wet and slick and thick, under the scaffold high,
Madame Guillotine is tired and around her entrails lie,
Testes rest in the mouths of dogs and the blood on which they sup,
Are the Family's last remains on earth......mighty Ghost he fucked it up.
