Marshall's are awesome amps. I've only heard a few diffrent amps up close, but that's the best brand out of any. And Washburns are pretty good for basses.
Some songs by Rush you should definitely check out are Free will, Spirit of Radio, Tom Sawyer, and Fly by Night. They make me proud to be canadian.

yeah man, finally someone that acually belives in the murder theory to. Kurt had 3 times a lethal dose of herion. Heres some info on it:
THE OBVIOUS QUESTIONS:
1. If Cobain injected himself with a deliberate heroin overdose, why would he ALSO shoot himself in the head with a shotgun, leaving his baby daughter - the love of his life - with horrific visual images to remember him by? Why not just "go to sleep" on the overdose and never wake up?
2. IF Cobain injected three times a lethal dose of heroin, COULD he then pick up a shotgun and shoot himself? Wouldn't he have been immediately incapacitated?

Based on the heroin, (morphine), blood levels found in Cobain's body, preliminary research indicates Kurt Cobain would have been immediately incapacitated. He could not have picked up that shotgun. He could not have pulled that trigger!

And also Kurt wanted out of the marrige with Courtney.

PLus from what I have heard from the angle Kurt "shot himself" he would of had to use one of his toes... and as anyone who has seen the death pics of Kurt; HE WAS WEARING SHOES!

yeah man. But there are fake pictures out there like his autopsy. His head didnt get blown off. But for suicide he did have a really really bad stomach illness that he couldn't stand. Whatever it was, it is really unfourtunate that he passed away :( Same with many others like Jimi Hendrix, John Lennon, Janis Jopelin, Dee Dee Ramone, Joey Ramone, George Harrison, Elvis, Johnny Cash so many.

well, ive always liked bass more, so my first response would have to be Les Claypool. he is so amazing, and hes in one of my favorite bands, Primus! i have yet to hear his solo albums...i heard they rock though! but, since you said guitarist, not bassist, im going to say Satriani (sp?)...

Cool, I know who you mean about the guitarist. I can't spell his name either haha. Yeah there a many good bassits out there. Flea from RHCP is amazing. But in my opinion the best guitarist is Jimi Hendrix, but for style I like Kurt Cobain or Pat Smear.

We are all music fans, and it's cool that we can talk about different genres of Rock Music! :) I was just wondering, what are your favorite years for Rock Music? That would be very hard for me to answer, considering I really like the 60s (Beatles), 70s (Ramones, Sex Pistols, The Clash), 80s (AC/DC, Bruce Springsteen) 90s (Nirvana, Soundgarden, RHCP) or the present time. I would have to go with the 90s with the 70s in second.

favorite guitarist is a tough one but i'll say the guy from Zebrahead :). my opinion on the best guitarist? my opinion is that it is impossible to claim who or who was not the best simpy because there are different divisions on what makes a guitarist good. For example there is the area of technical skill where a guitarist can light into a solo and improb all they want. There is the ability to make great music etc. And then there is musicianship having a good ear etc.

yeah you are right Maestro. Best Guitarist would be hard, but everybody has there opinion. I know alot of people have big agrues over Jimi Hendrix, and Jimmy Page. They were both great.

well, with the whole favorite decade of rock, im gonna have to say 80's or very late 90's to now.
I mean, from the 80's, the greats were there like Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, AC/DC, KMFDM started in the 80's, Judas Preist, Autograph, Megadeath, Ministry, and many many more.
And for the late 90's to now, well, i guess i'll take that due to my liking of many many Roadrunner label bands, and my liking of industrial metal.

yeah the 80s were really good for music. But 1980 was the year when John Lennon passed away, but his music still lives on. I myself dont listen to Metal, just maybe some Motorhead if you consider them metal. But theres alot of bands out there that the mainstream doesn't ruin. Like Mudhoney. They are really good. Hey, what is everyones opinion on the band "The Vines"? I got thier first album in 2002, and I thought it was pretty good..
