I'm going to post a link to this article on why Andy Dalton might be chosen as rookie of the year for the NFL in 2011-2012 just because I want to see Travis get butthurt about it.

Ok, when you guys miss the playoffs then I will remember that quote.

It's still an "if" question. The future is wide open with the AFC. Jesus, can't you let us even be hopeful? The NFL still has Cincy within the playoff picture as a wildcard team.

It's going to be the most anticlimax week of college football this Saturday.
Bring on LSU vs Alabama II!

I'm going laugh my ass off if it doesn't happen.

Unfortunately, Duke might be right here. LSU and Alabama are the 2 best teams in the nation, and even if LSU loses in the title game, they will still go in anyways. Okie State had their chance, and blew it against Iowa State. Title contenders don't lose to a team like Iowa State, no matter the circumstances.

It's conference championship week, and I'll put in my thoughts on what I believe is the best week of college football {regular season that is.}

Pac-12: I really don't have much to say about this. Oregon wins in a landslide. Sad thing is that if UCLA loses, they still get in a bowl game despite having a losing record, and if somehow they win, then they go to the Rose Bowl with 6 losses. Either way, they'll get whacked in a bowl game anyways.

Big Ten: My head says Wisconsin should win, but my gut says Michigan State. I'm going with my head here and go with Wisconsin, and they better not disappoint this time like they always do. If Wisconsin ever wants to be treated seriously with the likes of Michigan, Nebraska, or to a lesser extent Ohio State in the Big 10, then they need to win this game and the Rose Bowl in a convincing fashion.

SEC: This is a win-win for LSU, if they win, they win the SEC and go to the national title game undefeated, and even if they lose, they'll still get in anyways. I'm going with LSU to win, because as good as Georgia has played since starting 0-2, they haven't faced a buzzsaw like LSU, and I fear that this game won't be pretty unless the Tigers don't show up to play.

Big 12: Not a championship game per se, but it might as well be a championship game for the Big 12 in Stillwater. Ever since Oklahoma lost Broyles, they haven't been the same team, and I don't think they have enough to overcome Oklahoma State, especially at their place. I would imagine that the Cowboys are going to be a little angry that they slipped up against Iowa State, and it wouldn't surprise me if the Pokes win by a huge margin. {Sorry, rev}

C-USA: Houston will win this game. Even if they do win this game and get to the BCS bowl game, they will most likely run into a buzzsaw once they get there, and well, get creamed.

ACC: I almost forgot about these guys. I've got to go with Virginia Tech on this one, partly due to the fact that Clemson fell off the map after starting so hot early on. It seems like Va Tech is pretty much the only ones who want to win that conference anyways, especially when Florida State and Miami can't seem to get off the ground for some reason. {Not that Va Tech would care, but still.}

Just stop worrying, and love the bomb.

We shall see, but all bets are off in a rivalry game. From history sake, when the Pokes have nothing to play for they just crumple up and wait for basketball season. Since they lost out to ISU I think they have lost motivation. And oh yeah, The Pokes lost the last eight Bedlam games including the 2009 game where they were better imho than this team.

And Georgia was doing so great until they let the Honey Badger return a punt back for a TD.

Wisconsin 48-17 Nebraska, lol what?

Way to take my quote out of context. Unlike the schools I've just listed, Wisconsin has virtually no history of winning big games and choking in general. 2 examples are TCU and Ohio State, and in both of those games, they were heavily favored and a much better team overall, and simply choked. Plus, Nebraska has 5 national titles, all since 1970, Wisconsin has none. Some time, they need to get over the hump and win at least a BCS bowl game, or no one is going to treat them seriously again. In short, Wisconsin is a tease.

Speaking of choking, Houston got crushed by Southern Miss 49-21. The very same Southern Miss team that lost to UAB for the love of God, and now some people want to put them in the BCS bowl game. Thanks for nothing, Houston, go back to the kiddy table with Wisconsin and Boise State now.

OSU can beat OU by 50, they still won't make it to the BCS title game.
A team that lost to IOWA STATE simply do not deserve to play for the national title, get over with it.

Kind of stupid to have a team that did NOT win their conference play for a national championship don't you think?

If there is any possibility of not reliving that piece of abysmal shit that was "THE GAME OF THE CENTURY" when it was one of the worst games I have ever seen... then I am hoping to the Holy Lord that Oklahoma State gets the nod.

I think we've been through this before, but Alabama is clearly the second best team in the nation, and even if Oklahoma State did beat the tar out of Oklahoma, the damage is already been done when the Pokes lost to Iowa State, and LSU curb stomped Georgia in the second half. There's a huge difference between losing to the only undefeated team left, and losing to a .500 team, no matter where they take place. And if that does happen, well then something fishy must be going on.

Seriously... 5 (I think it was actually more) missed field goals and a worthless offensive performance on both sides IS NOT THE GAME OF THE CENTURY. It's the most boring hyped game of the century.

You do notice that both LSU and Alabama have extremely strong defenses right? A game like that wasn't going to high-scoring if that's what you were predicting. Granted, it wasn't that entertaining, but at the same time, I was realistic enough that the game was going to be low-scoring drag it out fight. And I know I said this a lot about bad days, but the Alabama kicker had a bad day. {well, even on a good day, he's been so-so.}

The BCS isn't a fucking popularity contest, it's designed to determine the 2 best teams, even though I think the BCS is utter crap, but that's what we have, bitching about it will do no one any good at this time. If you don't want to watch a rematch of Bama-LSU in the national title game, then DON'T WATCH THE DAMN GAME!, although it probably doesn't matter in the end, I don't really see anyone beating LSU this year, not when you see how they thrashed even high ranked teams, save for Alabama.

Just stop worrying, and love the bomb.

And so Wisconsin wins the Big Ten for the second consecutive year.

If our defense plays this badly again we'll get tanned by Oregon but for now we won and we are the best.

I don't know what team is having a worse day, Raiders or Bengals.

Raiders getting shut out against the lowly Dolphins, and just when I thought I wasn't going to bury Palmer and call him done.

As for Cincinnati, well everything that could go wrong, has gone wrong, especially when the phantom calls aren't even going your way and the special teams who are normally very good, has gone to shit. {I know Travis must be jumping for joy right now.}

Up two games on Travis for this week with no chance of him catching up. Fuck yes. Mission accomplished. I don't even give a fuck how everyone else does in comparison with me.

Also, why in the fuck is tomorrow such a SNOOZE fest. I literally couldn't give less of a shit about San Diego and Jacksonville. They're both long shots for the playoffs at this point, right? Is this going to be like Thursday's game in terms of importance to the overall season?

Jacksonville defense has actually been pretty fun to watch this season. Besides, Gabbert is bound to figure something out at some point and I think at the very least it will be close.

The Fiesta Bowl looks like the matchup to watch; OK State vs. Stanford - Luck vs Weeden w/ Blackmon. It's going to be touchdown city more so than the title game.

Pretty much. The only real reason why anyone would want to watch this game is to see the Chargers crash and burn like the Hindenburg, and to see how many turnovers Phillip Rivers can make.

Well, it seems like Michigan is going up against Va Tech in the Sugar Bowl. Honestly, I was looking forward to playing Boise State in the Sugar Bowl if it came to that, but I guess they didn't want to see ponies to the slaughter, so the BCS thought that putting the Hokies in would be more of a fair matchup. Either way, I'm so excited.

10-5 this week with my NFL picks with the snoozefest of San Diego v. Jacksonville happening tonight. Certainly not my best week, but not my worst either.

Also, is anyone else amazed that both Green Bay and San Francisco have clenched their playoff spots while all of the AFC is still technically open? It's wild shit. This has been a crazy season.

They technically won their division (Pac-12 South) with USC bowl banned and I'm assuming that's the main reason. They probably shouldn't have applied for an exemption to get a bowl but bowls mean money for the school/conference and they are going to milk the fans for all they can.
