Tom Brady named Top Player in NFL Network's Top 100 Series.

This choice had me conflicted. On one hand, I hate the Patriots, but on the other, I respect Brady as a very good player..

Chargers' consistent postseason chokes have really hit A.J. Smith hard.

I wouldn't be surprised if Rivers ends up like Marino. Statistically it's a good thing but...the thing that sticks out is the only no one likes.

OSU and the NCAA are apparently not on friendly terms...

It's going to be a sad season for Buckeye fans...

I hope they do drop the hammer on OSU, {and no, it's not because I'm a butthurt Michigan fan, as much as I want to see them drop down a few pegs.} but it's for consistency purposes. I mean, if they could slam USC they way they did with only 1 player doing the crime, then there should be no reason why the NCAA should go soft on OSU for what they did, otherwise, they're going to get even more backlash by the talking heads and the average fans.

The Buckeyes sold their soul to get Pryor and hoping to jam a square peg into a round hole, and it ended up blowing up in their face. Next time, they should look for someone that fits the system, not go after the number 1 recruit every year that doesn't fit, but I know that won't deter them from trying.

In conclusion, it was simply too good to be true, and now the bastards are going to pay the piper for not keeping an eye on things as best they could.

Apprently, James Harrison just can't seem to shut his mouth and not look like an ass. Now he's going after Roethlisberger for having a shitty performance in the Super Bowl, when we all know that Aaron Rodgers made the Steelers defense {and especially him} his bitch.

Here's some words of advice for Harrison. "SHUT THE FUCK UP!!!" I'm sure even Steeler fans are getting tired of his bitching and moaning trying to get symphany for him, and passing the blame for his screwups on someone else. {Goodell, Roethlisberger, etc.} Also, if he doesn't want to be a target from the NFL, then don't hit players in the fucking head then, and don't mouth off to the commish like that. Ok, I know that Goodell is a huge prick at times, but that's because people like Harrison, Roethlisberger and even Hines Ward do stupid shit to get themselves in trouble, and he has to do something about it. {Let's see how Hines Ward dances his way out of this, lol.}

Oh, speaking of the Steelers, Why are their players now trying to chase the Cincinnati Bengals in terms of arrests? I thought that they were supposed to be a classy organization, with respectful players off the field, {most of them anyways.} but I guess they're no different than us after all. Maybe it has to do with the lockout, and that gives them a free pass to act the fool and not get suspended, or maybe it's just a coincendental bad moment of judgment, and they got caught. I wonder what Steeler fans are going to say about Harrison now, and are they going to keep kissing James Harrison's ass, or are they just going to let him go?

Indeed, maybe it's just me but Hines Ward struck me as one of the last people who would do something stupid such as getting wasted and drive. If anything, I'd figure someone like James Harrison or Ben Roethlisberger to be the one to do that.

Granted in Harrison's case, I expect him to be the kind of one to send someone into coma for some reason.

I have been wondering, when do you think the QBs from 2004 draft will finally be named to an All-Pro team?

It haven't been easy with Peyton, Brady, and Brees taking those spots for years. It's surprising how Elway never made it to AP's All-Pro first team, even on his MVP year. Yet somehow he was named the 1990s All-Decade first team over Favre!

Probably this decade, and It would be Phillip Rivers who would most likely be first team all pro, whereas Roethlisberger and Eli Manning would probably be second or third team all pros. Of course, they're probably going to vote Peyton and Brady due to their records and past history.

As I said before, it's really based off legacy more so than actual performance. The only reason why Elway was on the 90's decade team was winning 2 Super Bowl in '98 and '99, and the only reason why they won those Super Bowls was because of Terrell Davis. Farve have more MVPs and better statistics than Elway ever had, so that was an absolute snub, understandable as it may be.

Lockout it seems is nearing the end. Do you think the quality of play will be affected due to lack preseason training?

I don't know about the quality, but I can almost guarantee that there will be more injuries in the first few weeks of this season than in most years. The players just aren't as prepared as they need to be right now.

I hate to break it to you, but the Bills are probably going to be the worst team next year. Of course, that's pure speculation as you know, but playing in the AFC East where the Patriots and even the Jets who are light years ahead of Buffalo in terms of talent and overall football IQ, makes it unlikely that the Bills would be in the playoff discussion anytime soon.

As for the quality of play after the lockout, that would depend on the teams. Teams like the Browns, Bills and the Panthers would probably fight it out to see who gets to draft Andrew Luck with the 1st pick, whereas the Saints, Packers and Giants would only have some minor hiccups, before getting back to what they do best. I don't want to be a total jinx and all that, but the lockout is offically not over yet, so all we can do now is wait and see how they get this done.

So, is the lockout over or not? I know the owners passed the CB, but the players are holding things up. I'm so confused by the legal crap that I really don't even know what's going on anymore...

Geez

All of the big Offseason moves are going to be made within the span of a few weeks now because they don't have time to deliberate like they did before.

What's left of the offseason should be relatively active.

About freaking time. The free agency market is going to be wild, especially for players like Nnamdi Asomuaga, Braylon Edwards, and so on, and it will be interesting what some teams will do in this wild free agency market. Also, the spending floor is a good idea which would force teams to spend money on good players. {I wonder how owners like Mike Brown and Ralph Wilson, who are known for being cheap, are going to do about spending money now.}

Well, I'm just glad that football is back on.

Tried joining, but I got this message:

There is not room in this league if all teams from last year return. To join, get the commissioner to increase the maximum number of teams, or remove teams that will not be returning. (Error #638)

Help?

It's telling me that I can't join because there isn't enough room if everyone from last year joins again and that the commissioner needs to either increase league size or remove anyone who won't be returning.

I'm game if and whenever there is room just let me know.

Well that's stupid, I didn't know Yahoo did that. Apparently since I renewed the league from last year it automatically reserves the slots for returning players without telling me. Anyways, I reset it, should be good to go now.

No wonder the league wasn't filling, Damnit Yahoo.

I'm not sure if Illuminate was going to do his league so I'll join yours.

Other news Sidney Rice is heading to the Seahawks. Pity he has no one to throw to him. And looks like McNabb is heading to Minnesota. Guess the Vikes aren't ready to give up on aging Quarterbacks just yet.

Just what Minnesota needs, another aging QB, although I can understand why they would get McNabb, considering that he would be a bridge for Ponder. I'm starting to think that McNabb is the most picked on player in the league, despite all of his sucess, I mean 5 NFC championship apperences and a Super Bowl apperence, along with the stats during his time with the Eagles, and he still is disrespected.

Of course, losing a couple of NFC title games to inferior teams in '03 {Panthers} and '08 {Cardinals} doesn't help matters any.

I was a little shocked when I heard the news that not only Haynesworth, but Ochocinco signing with the Patriots as well. Those 2 signings more or less, put the Patriots the favorite to win not only their division, and put them on par with the Packers as well.

Ok Bill, what's the grand plan this time?

This isn't the first time that Bill has taken a flyer on a troubled player, {Dillion, Moss come to mind} and what they needed was a big pass rushing on the line as well as a #1 reciever for their offense.

Makes me wonder why the Jets haven't signed Braylon Edwards yet, considering he was the most productive WR on that team for the last year and a half, not to mention the fact that they already have 2 good corners already, they really have no need to go after Nnamdi. {unless they are trying to be the AFC equalivent of the Washington Redskins.}
