As long as Ralph Wilson is still owning that team, Buffalo will forever be in the shitter.
Hey I'm sick of it when the Bengals don't get to the Super Bowl too, but I get over it, though sometimes it feels like shit.

GAMEDAAAAY! I'm picking the Packers and the Steelers, as much as I hate the idea of the Steelers being in it again. Curious to see if Aaron Rodgers lives up to the Joe Montana hype.
Well for today my picks are as follows:
Steelers vs. Jets - Steelers
Packers vs. Bears - Packers
Would really like to see the Bears win the game and make it to the super bowl but they are just not playing good enough to hang with the Packers.

It's offical, The Steelers are in the Super Bowl yet again, with the assistance of the referees missing a bunch of calls and blatant headshots. {Now I sound like a conspiracy theorist, oh well}
It made me wonder how the Jets beat the Patriots handily, and then turn around and fall apart against the Steelers. They did make a comeback in the 2nd half, but due to shitty time management and Rex Ryan's even more shitty play-calling, they were doomed to failure, even before they walked on the field.
Makes me wonder sometimes how the Steelers have so much success, when they run their franchise on the cheap, and they are extremely predictable at what they do, it must be one of life's mysteries.
Just stop worrying, and love the bomb.
Yea, packers won, bears lost. Packers at the superbowl, whoop whoop!

Don't get all mopey Holla. You've got everyone coming back. I think their best bet is to get a power runner to compliment Forte, and upgrade that offensive line. Cutler does fine when he's not the focal point of the offense. When he's called on to win big games, he's unreliable, as evidenced by your 3rd string QB who's played five games coming in for him and putting up better stats in the 4th quarter than Cutler did all game. Been that way since he was in Denver. May not win the division, just because it's gonna be a dogfight with Green Bay, but one of you should get a wild card easily. At least your younger guys got some playoff experience.
As far as the Raiders go, Hue Jackson guaranteed a division title next year, which is completely plausible considering they were 6-0 in the division this year, including a week 17 romp of the division winning Chiefs, handing them their first home loss of the season. Can't help but think that was in their heads when they got raped by Baltimore in the first round. Rumors are Ochocinco might be heading to Oakland because the dude has made several tweets about how Jackson is the best coach he's ever played for, and he'd consider it an honor to play under him again, regardless of what team it's with, and his contract is up. He under-performed last year, but he obviously wasn't happy with the coaching. Said he was tired of getting thrown under a bus. I wouldn't be surprised if he refused to sign with the Bengals for anything other than a ridiculous sum of money.
We managed to snake the Ravens OC, Al Saunders, out from under them, which is amazing considering that an offensive coordinator from a team that stacked on offense, and as high caliber of an OC he is, would be willing to leave to join up with the Raiders. I think it bodes really well. We started the season 2-4, including a loss to Arizona when Janikowski missed a 32 yard game winning field goal that really hurt our playoff chances in the end. Near the end of the season, things came together and we ended up going 6-4 without really getting blown up except once by Pittsburgh, who is in the Super Bowl now, so a big loss to them is understandable. Cable made some stupid decisions at times, and he had the wrong attitude. When we finished the season 8-8, He said well, you can't call us losers anymore. Davis tore him up for that in his press conference. I don't know what world he's living in where 8-8 is acceptable. Haha.
I'm optimistic as hell about next year. I love our head coach, I love that we've got a lot of guys Haloti Ngata and Ochocinco respect coaching the team as they both have expired contracts (Ngata would be a beast with the Raiders. Our Defensive Tackles led all DT's in sacks this year with moderate players, simply because Seymour demands double teaming and it opened up holes for our decent DT's. If Ngata was at DT, and he demands double teaming as well? Look out QB, one of them is getting through.) 10 wins would not surprise me one bit. The vibe seems really positive around the internet for once. No 1st round draft pick, which when the deal for Seymour went through, I figured I'd regret the trade when the draft rolled around, but considering our luck with 1st round picks, I'll take the perennial pro-bowler.
All in all, I think Oakland has the best shot at winning the division next year, depending on if Matt Cassel can come back and play at a pro bowl level, and even if he does, we still have just as good a shot as the Chiefs do. The future looks bright for once. Gotta love it.

Chester Taylor is the power runningback option. And the o line needs a big name free agent signing or a high profile draft pick. It's actually nearly a miracle that the Bears made it as far as they did with such poor protection almost all season. As for Cutler, if he got even just competent o line protection, he has the ability to beat some of the best defenses and make good things happen. In the game, I saw him make some good decisions like the pass to Forte to avoid a safety when they were backed up in their own endzone, but note that he was also surrounded by Packer players about to get tackled which shouldn't be happening to a good football team. And I like what Caleb Hanie did in the second half, but there is still no question that next year, Cutler is the starter. (Also Todd Collins should be cut immediately)
I would also argue that Cutler shook the "unreliable in big games" tag a bit more this year. The game against the Seahawks was a big game and he accounted for 4 TDs, and his games against Philly and the Jets during the regular season were also very good (7 TDs, 1 INT) He has the potential and ability, but he needs protection help for sure.

Easy, the Rooneys are the anti-Al Davis.
They're the model example of what the owners should be.
The Fords are even worst than Al Davis however, they had Sanders but never really build the team around him after 1991.
Having no QB can do that to you, lol at Lions fans for thinking their team will win a Super Bowl in their lifetimes.
Maybe in 2012 when the world ends...
"As the old saying goes...what was it again?"
I feel bad for my friend, who is a Bears fan, because we were both hoping for a Steelers vs Bears superbowl (my team vs his).
More importantly though the Steelers won, so I'm ecstatic. I would've been furious if the Jets made it to the superbowl, because most people I know are Jets fans simply because Sanchez was drafted into my high school's rival football team. Yeah, they PAID his parents to enroll him at the school.
He graduated a year before me, and apparently one of my friends had a class or two with him. But fuck that, who cares.
STEELERS BABY.
Oh and the Bears fans are torching is jersey...

Those are the fans who assumed he gave up even though he wanted to go back into the game and the coaching staff didn't let him. Those are the fans that questioned his toughness despite the fact that he got sacked a ton of times all season and never once complained about his O Line when he could have easily done so. Those are the worst fans that the Bears have right now.
And the media shitstorm that came out of this is just ridiculous. On a day that we know what the SB matchup is, more people are talking about Cutler sitting out for the second half of that game. You have reports of players (all of them out of the playoffs at that point) tweeting statements questioning his toughness when they knew nothing about the injury, you have analysts questioning his leadership by saying he didn't help out the backup QBs, only to have Caleb Hanie say the complete opposite, and you have random fans spouting off nonsense about something they know nothing about.
Goddamn it NFL world. Goddamn it.
I have always felt like Green Bay was simply a superior team to Chicago and that's why they ended up winning it.
That's not to discredit the Bears, seeing as I never expect anything out of Chicago and an NFC Championship certainly exceeded most expectations.
Either way Green Bay is in the Superbowl and I have no doubt in my mind that they will win it. Whether it's on defense or offense they will win this because they will want it more. This is the defining moment in a lot of the Packers players' careers.
I'm sure most of you will be picking Pittsburgh, but considering that most of you also picked Atlanta and Chicago I'm not worried.

All-Pro announced
Personally I believe Snee should have been on first team over Logan Mankins but what can you do? Besides, most of the focus aside from Brady taking up so much votes that he obliterated the 2nd team for QB is the safety position.
I almost spit my drink onto the computer screen seeing that much 2nd team ties. Darren Sharper practically had the first year due to injury and started one game and yet...WTF?
My Super Bowl pick - Packers
"As the old saying goes...what was it again?"
*Worst
I hated it when it happens.
Anyway the Saints ends up with two All-Pro safeties, Rolle made the cut despite not being that good, then there's...I lost count.
How many all-pro safeties are there this year?

Instead of bitching at Jay Cutler, they should be going after that O line that allowed him to get sacked so many times in the first place. If he had a good O line surrounding him during the season, they would be no way that Cutler would have limped off the field, and they could have been in the Super Bowl. Everyone seems to find a single person to blame, instead of the real reason why.

Most of those Tweets are complete bullshit, mostly because they were either retired players out to take a cheap ass sucker punch at Cutler, or have never played a playoff game {MJD, I'm looking at you, jackass.} As for the anaylsts, Mr. Tough Guy of ESPN, Mark Schlereth opens his mouth again and spews out bullshit about how Jay is a pussy, and questioning his leadership, even though he did lead the Bears to the NFC North crown and a Championship game apperence. Some players really need to be banned from using Twitter, and analysts need to check the facts, before they jump to conclusions like that.
Goddamn it NFL world. Goddamn it.
As much as we all love the NFL and shit, I sometimes don't understand them from a distance.

Not to mention on how there are Broncos fans going "Now you see why we traded him?" which is full of sheer stupidity reeked with McDaniels' stench of mediocrity.
Also people enjoyed bring up Rivers despite him playing with a cortisone shot. Also the Chargers lost that game.

Packers fan fired over a tie in a car dealership in a Chicago suburb, my god, has the world gone crazy now? My answer would be yes.
On a serious note, Antonio Cromartie may have said the smartest thing about the NFL labor dispute between owners and players. It's a battle between millionaire players who want more money, so they can buy another house, and billionaire owners who are greedy old assholes, and frankly this argument is total shit. I understand about the player's disapproval of the 18 game regular season schedule, the need for benefits after their careers are over, and even a rookie pay scale, {which is so sorely needed,} but these guys are making more money than most of us could ever obtain in our lifetimes, and the owners are making far more money than any of us could dream of.
Makes me wonder what we're going to do now, if there is no pro football next season because of this, we'll probably have to take up sewing and going to baby showers or something like that. *shudders*

Lookie here, this guy just ranked Cutler over what Harding did?
I had a mental face palm.

I like how the media is essentially saying 'Even though the team and common sense completely refute all of these accusations we're making we are going to belittle Cutler anyway because it makes for a good story.'
The man sprained his MCL and I guarantee you he would have been out there on that field if he could have. Anyone who thinks he wanted to sit there and watch his team lose with him helpless needs to have their head checked.
I don't want to say this, but I feel like the Steelers are going to win the Super Bowl this year. :(

Packers can still pull this one off. As Michael Strahan once said, "Believe and it will happen!"

Packers-Steelers, as predicted.
Packers ftw. Aaron Rodgers will lead the flock to the promised land. HE IS OUR SHEPARD, HE SHALL NOT LEAD US ASTRAY.

So, is anyone going to watch the Pro Bowl tommorrow night?
Personally, I may watch a quarter or 2, although to me, this is really watered down football, considering they don't really have any hard hitting, blitzing or anything like that, but I guess it's still football, in Hawaii no less.

Football is football I say. If it's not a total blowout by the half I'll watch it all. I'm going to go with the AFC to win for no particular reason.
