I was at work and forgot to make a football topic in general. Oops. Too late now I guess.

Really glad the Bengals won today. I was afraid that the Browns would take this one and that Cincy would lose the division to them if they tied with their records at the end of the season. Still could happen, but it seems less likely now.

WhoDey.

Say what you will about the BCS, they know how to create some of the best games in history, and the last BCS national title game is one of them. Florida State has stopped both the state of Alabama's and the SEC's stranglehold of the national title by beating Auburn 34-31.

Congratulations Seminoles and Jameis WINston for going God Mode on the SEC's domination of the BCS.

So glad FSU won. Poor people of Alabama though the SEC did well this bowl season minus Bama, Auburn and Georgia. It going to be interesting with the playoff system but I still isn't going to dampen controversy of who should be in.

For what it's worth, I've got Denver winning the Super Bowl on Sunday. What about you dudes?

You know my pick, the Seahawks, they have the defense that can handle Peyton on paper, will it work on the field? Time will tell.

With that said, I actually want the Broncos to win but remember, 1959!

If Peyton win this one, he can finally end that drought.

It really can go either way, but the Broncos seem to be the team of destiny at this point, considering all of their injuries, off-field transgressions and the fact that their offense hasn't really been stopped at all. {of course, this is similar to the '07 Patriots in a lot of ways though}

Both of the team's strengths pretty much cancel each other out {Broncos pass offense vs. Seahawks secondary}, {Seattle's rush offense vs. Broncos rush defense} with the glaring exception at QB, and I just can't see Peyton being denied another SB ring again.

I am obviously favouring the Broncos, but my main concern is with the weather. Not so much the cold, I think Manning has proven enough this year that that myth is overrated, but more with the risk of snow. Snow games make passing so much more difficult, and would heavily favour the rushing attack of the Seahawks. In a snow game I can't see past a Seattle win, but if the snow stays away this is Denver's to lose.

I know losing Tuck sucks but ever notice how many of the players who left the Giants would go on to suck afterward? Tuck may be an exception since so far it's happens to the offensive players but with that said, what's with the Raider's obsession with the ex-Giants players?

Many of the Giants players that left went to the Raiders and it happens as far back as the early 1980s.

What's up with that?

Ralph Wilson, owner and founder of the Buffalo Bills, passed today. Condolences to the family but a part of me, selfish as it may be, hopes this doesn't create an ownership frenzy that leads to the Bills leaving Buffalo.

All our condolences go to Ralph Wilson, the last surviving owner of a team that was a part of the AFL in the 60's. However, this is possibly a blessing in disguise, considering that Wilson was letting his franchise rot and basically the last 15 years or so, turn into the East Coast version of the Raiders or Cardinals. The Bills will probably not leave Buffalo for LA, because the Chargers or Jags are much more attractive options for re-location, but the next owner needs to be committed to building a competitive team, and not piss away money on overrated hacks like Mario Williams, or do nothing when they get someone like OJ Simpson.

Need to see what they do about the offensive line really. The pieces are there with some careful drafting and run good to hit a wildcard given its the lolAFC

So, the NFL released every team's 2014 schedules yesterday. How do you feel about where your team stands?

I'm a bit worried about the Bengals. I think that byes in the fourth week of the season are dumb and I'm not pleased that the Bengals got stuck with one this year. I think that week off is key in the later parts of the season and that this might hurt them.
As for their scheduled match-ups, I think we've got a nice line-up. I'm really pumped for that Monday night game in December against the Broncos. I like when our home games get a national audience.

It seems like a lot of teams got the 4th week for a bye, and I honestly don't know why the NFL changed up those bye weeks, other than maybe trying to accommodate for the Thursday night games. I don't think it'll make much of a difference though, considering that our schedule isn't that tough, I'm more concerned about the fact that we play 3 road games in a row and the last couple of games afterwards, however.

At the very least, we don't have Oakland's schedule, which is absolutely brutal, especially when you have to play the NFC West teams.

It's not too often that we get these kind of games, though it's nice to see that we're being recognized in a positive manner in the regular season at least.

The Bills have another year with a tough schedule ahead of them and apparently the NFL loves the Bills/Browns saga so we got them again. I personally welcome the challenge because its about time to put up and not only compete with teams like Denver and Green Bay but also beat them.

interesting to see what the raiders will do. so many options, could easily take QB, OT, trade down, this is assuming that the top 4 is something like clowney/matthews/mack/watkins. it's quite deep and the range of qb potential makes things curious.

Clowney seems like a great pick and I agree that J. Football is risky. Be curious to see how it all shakes up. I'd love to see my team, the Cincinnati Bengals, get another QB, though, just to give Andy Dalton some sort of incentive to start playing better.

So Johnny Football is heading to the Cleveland Browns. It was insane on how many teams that need a QB passed Manziel, it was almost like they were avoiding him like a plague.

Over/under on how many years before they trade him or ruin his career a la Tim Couch?
