The base VP only goes up after a certain amount of days depending upon how much experience points a person has. My base VP goes up .01 about every 3 or so weeks... but for someone else it may be 5 days.. But the best way to increase VP tremendously... is to keep racking up BP points. I have a VP base of 8.59 bye the way...
Indeed. Just as you say, teh base VP goes up differently for different users... and it's all due to how much exp you have in relation to the level 30 user(s).
I remember fondly the days when I could get 0.01 base VP from 3 or 4 or 5 days of depositing.
Nowadays it takes around 8 days of deposits to get 0.01 base VP (and around 5 days of deposits to get 0.01 total VP... it used to take only 2 or 3 ;_;) added.

I know this, my base VP only goes up 0.01 every 8 days i think. And stop showing off, cunt. Well done Figgy on getting 10 VP, thats awsome, i hope to join you in about 2 years time :D
If your base VP is going up 0.01 every 8 days, then it's because you're only depositing 4 times every 8 days. Because my 9700+ exp causes me to wait around 8 days for every 0.01 of base VP, yet you're nowhere near this amount of exp... hence... you're either way off on the estimation or you're missing a ton of deposits.
I sincerely hope it's the former. ;_;

It took me 849 days, but I'm finally there. A goal I set myself in my first months of NG has now been realised - a Voting Power of 10. I ranked up two days ago, boosting me to a near-perfect 9.99, and then spent the following two days battling humantarget 52 to retain my fourth VP digit. Going by the latest list, that should place me around the 74th rank. Gone are the days where I'd worry about securing my place on the list, eh?
Congratulations, man! While I haven't exactly been following your profile's updates with any sort of daily regularity, I did notice the countdown (er... up?) to 10.00 VP at many points over the past couple of years, and it's good that you finally achieved teh profile goalness.
More like 76th, BTW.... that be how many 10+ers there are in existence now, last time I checked. But close enough. #;-}>

He ranked up but didn't post an update himself? I'm quite surprised.
Ha. I was probably too busy with school. :)
Heh! Well, there's a valid reason if there is any, I suppose. #;-}>

Well sometimes I can deposit 2 times before I go to bed. I live on the west coast so the NG time is 3 hours ahead of me. So I deposit now and after 9pm. But after that I miss 24 hours >,< I don't really think it helps or goes against.
That's not depositing "2 times a day," like you said in an earlier post, though. That's depositing on one day and then depositing on the next. If you like to only worry about exp half as often as most people do, and you can keep to this schedule without losing track of which day it is (and thus missing exp), ANYone can easily do this sort of depositing:
1st - deposit at 11:30 PM ET, no matter what time zone yer in
2nd - deposit 1 hour later at 12:30 AM ET, technically the next day on NG, even if it isn't for you.
(47 hour vacation)
3rd - deposit at 11:30 PM ET, no matter what time zone yer in
4th - deposit 1 hour later at 12:30 AM ET, technically the next day on NG, even if it isn't for you.
(47 hour vacation)
5th - deposit at 11:30 PM ET.... etc. etc. etc. repeat, rinse, recycle, yadda yadda yadda.
That's livin' on the edge of a cliff, though, as those 11:30 PMish deposits are quite the risky business. Just make depositing on NG a daily ritual... either at midnight Eastern Time or when you wake up in the morning or when you get home or... just... whenever! But if you don't want to lost any exp, don't make a habit of putting it off until the last few hours of the day on NG time... that is teh danger.

Dude... you just quoted the last line of my VP list from January 28th, 2004.
Do you realise what date it is today?
Hint: For starters, it isn't 2004 anymore.
