whoa, the weirdest thing happened.... all day yesterday my VP was 13.61 and this morning it shot back down to 13.60... i'm guessing humantarget32 had a really late deposit or something yesterday and deposited early today? damn it would be better for everyone if humantarget32 and pimp did not deposit their points for awhile... we'd all have higher VP increases through experience then.

Higher VP is always a good incentive to keep on going here.

I admit I'm guilty of missing that as well. It took me awhile to see it but once I saw that Yoink had a higher EXP I knew he'd pass you in VP once he got to EGSC!!!

But 13.40 votes is nothing to sneeze at. It'll take me a few years to get up that high, if I ever get there at all.

Its a shame agent66 stopped depositing for a year. He'd have been a competitor for number 1 since he was ranked above Nemesis in exp before, now he's dropped way back.

Is it actually him that deposits again..anyone know? Or has his account been taken over by someone.

I plan on reaching 10.00........someday. 6-7 more years maybe.

Yea.. there are others that are ahead of Nemesis in experience who have the chance to take away his #1 VP spot.. but it seems highly unlikely because most of those users never vote for underjudgements. Maybe someday Nemesis will stop depositing? Nemesis hasn't even reached EGSC yet... and if he actually does then he'll have a VP of over 15.00 which is swEEt.

Everyone has a good chance of reaching 10.00 someday... they just need to keep depositing and keep BPing. I think it's possible for a level 13 user to reach VP 10.00+ if they are at the EGSC rank.

Welcome to this weekend's update of the Top 500 Voting Power List! #500 is up from 7.40 VP to 7.42 VP. The number of tracked people in the spreadsheet rose from 1330 to 1336 when I added 6 people who entered SK's top 1000 list six days ago.

There were SIX rankups in the top 100 VP this week. Congrats to Wylo, Denvish, good_guy_o, KWAS71KCK, Crow-, and stafffighter. SUPER congrats to Denvish and good_guy_o on their +0.35 and +0.34 EGSC rankups and to Wylo on his +0.56 EGG rankup! Yet another big week for some in the top 100, clearly! Oh, and xx.00 congrats are due to Wylo for breaking 12.00 VP (this means, incidentally, that the top 10 is all within the 12+ VP range now) and to good_guy_o for zooming WAY past 10.00 VP. Hopefully we'll get even MORE new xx.00 members in the coming weeks!

Congrats to stafffighter--his rankup boosted him into the top 100... unfortunately, this means that jonthomson has been unceremoniously booted from the top 100. So, he's now on the Mr_James fasttrack to the "Most Times on and off the Top 100" competition. Good luck to him on making it back ASAP, but there's quite a large gap between #100 and #101 right now and thus rankups (for him or for ANYONE who wants into the top 100 anytime soon) are going to be necessary to enter the top 100 in the near future. In other news: SCD remains at #505, looks like a rankup is the only nearterm hope for him as well. If only rankups grew on trees.... Lastly, I'd just like to note that after several +0.01s to #500's VP amount (aka the lowest VP on the list), we've now had TWO straight weeks of +0.02 additions (7.38, then 7.40, now 7.42). There was only ONE person with 7.42, actually--#499 has 7.43 and #501 has 7.41... things are getting very accelerated in the bottom range of the list. I won't be surprised it the top 500 is all 7.50 and above by the end of March. Have fun, people... again, rankups are at a premium. Get 'em while you can... and move up on the list. It's just that simple.

I was going to ask how I managed to hold onto the 13th position after Wylo made that huge jump but then I noticed staphita dropped a spot. I can live with that. Doesn't staphita mean 'raison' in Greek?

ARGH. It wasn't until I just now read joob's post that I realised SevenStar's rankup was an EGG rankup. I didn't look that closely as SevenStar isn't in the top 100 yet.

This... is the first FULLY-outside-of-the-top100 EGG rankup... EVAR. I believe someone (I could look up who, but I don't feel like it. Nyah!) recently ranked up from OUTSIDE the top 100 INTO the top 100 with an EGG rankup, but that's not QUITE the same, since I did of course notice them.

So anyway, an off-update-notes-but-still-official SUPER congrats to SevenStar on a +0.43 EGG rankup (and a nice +38 boost on the list, as well).

Exact answers about +0.01s vs +0.02s for weekly gains... are impossible to give. Not only is it hard to tell immediately from someone's level (or their exact exp count + % bonus from b/p rank--if you want to be really precise) how much VP they gain per day or per week... but the whole "is it going to round down to 0.01 or round up to 0.02 this week?" issue, while not RANDOM, is hard to predict. For instance, I may go two weeks in a row with 0.01 gains, then get a 0.02 gain, then back to 0.01 for the next week... based on the 2-in-a-row a few weeks back, I might expect another 0.01 gain for the next week, but boom, it's 0.02 instead. It's not an easy pattern to see because it's dependent upon so many factors (humantarget, mostly, your own depositing, and the vagaries of the xx.xx rounding VP system on NG).
