EVERY single time I've wanted the update to be right at the top of a page, I SAY SO IN CLEAR PRINT WITHIN THE TOPIC, dagnabit! If I don't say anything, I'm not sweating it. Also, you said "8 more posts," but in reality, for the topic to click over to the next page from where you posted that, it needed... :::checks:::

18 more posts.

Someone was subtracting from 20 instead of 30 or something. And as a result, the update is now.... 21 posts down from the top of page 90 instead of 2 or 3 posts down like I was expecting it to be where it would actually be visible.

So anywho... now page 90 is a huge spamfest with the update down at the bottom. But after the day I've had... eh. Who cares.

Yeah, but like I complain about every now and then in the list notes... I WAS #18, and I slipped back not once... but twice. You know what I'm talking about, the same people zipped past you with their rankups as well.

So coming back from #20 to #19 doesn't really feel like "passing people," (even though it's the first time I've been ahead of DrMSM, the last 1999 signup guy on the top 50 b/p list, BTW)... it feels more like "regaining lost ground." Ground I wish I hadn't lost in the first place.

But hey, the life of an EGSC means coming to terms with your spot on the list no longer being fully under your own control. Sure you can deposit all the exp you want and hope it moves you up in the listing, but... in the end, it's not up to you to decide whether you lose or gain ground in the end. It's up to the b/p rankups of people below you in b/p... but ahead of you in exp. ;_; Hell, just ask ramagi. NONE of us is untouchable (until the level 30 on NG is also an EGSC, that is).

So I read this story in the newspaper today; it was on the front page in bold lettering. Tom Hanks was emitted into the hospital yesterday morning. The poor guy had a heart attack on his way to the post office. People were getting worried gfox, they were starting to loose hope. Tom Hanks may have had a bad streak of luck, but gfox had a worse streak. Two weeks ago, he slipped on slick bricks in a rainstorm and landed on his knee (and his knee landed on a rock), leading to many many days of painful sore kneeness (or knee soreness, whichever)... if that wasn't bad enough, three straight days of 75+ degree temperatures befell Houston, dooming gfox to an early end to winter, his favourite season... and thus... to no more chances of another Snow Problem for 10+ months. ;_; gfox dreams of those lovely snowflakes on Christmas Eve... less than two months ago. Oh, for a Snow Problem... for a Snow Problem today. ;_;

That's very interesting, she sure has been the #2 VPer for quite some time... I will probably not have this spot for as long as she had it for. There are only 31 users ahead of me in Experience who are a threat to me... but I'm going to be passing 3 users hopefully in about a month in experience. After EGSC it all comes down to experience.

There are some users who are dropping like flies in the top 50 experience list as of late, hopefully we can both pass them soon.

You need to:

A) hope that the rankups are mostly done for now in your general area... which they might be for the most part, but I doubt they will be entirely for a week period.

B) rankup

C) have patience and just keep on depositing

Well, Wylo's rankup shook up the top 20 a ton, and it happened between my update and SK's... so I'm sure there were other rankups lower down in the top 500. How many? I dunno and I'm not going to bother checking.

Yes, it alternates between 0.01 and 0.02 when you're a level 16/17/18 like me and him are. I don't know whether or not he missed any deposits, but it really doesn't matter, point is sometimes he gets the 0.01, sometimes he doesn't.

I'm sorry about your problems, man. But whether you don't deposit or someone deposits FOR you... it really doesn't matter in terms of the top 200. You've been depositing for 2 months and still you stay at #201/202 range. EVENTUALLY you'll make it up to the top 200, yes. But the only SURE way to make it there sooner rather than later... is to rankup.

Last week I addressed the situation of the top 100 not gaining the most vp for a couple weeks straight. I then said something like "that should change shortly with all the EGSC boosts we'll be getting this week" whereas you replied with something like "you're damn right!"

So seeing the biggest gain of the five centuries this week as I had foresaw, I said "Just as expected."

I have a way to stop these misunderstandings, take note of the quotes after the teeter-totter stuff. The system may be refined, think of this is exlusive beta action. (i dunno)

Ah, yes. Well, on the Feb 5th update, the top 100 was the highest gainer with 1.88. And on Feb 12th, the top 100 didn't even break 1.00... but that was due to ZERO rankups, so it's not that much of a surprise.

Some of the other 100s have had down weeks like that as well, due to low (or no) rankups happening in that week. It was only a matter of time till it started happening to the top 100. Eventually, it will become the rule. ALL the other 4 100s will outpace the top 100 on an every-week basis.

That is very interesting gfox. My VP is 4.00 VP higher than it was almost 2 years ago. agent66 sure didn't keep is #2 spot. Nemesis... he hasn't even hit EGSC yet and he'll probably always be #1. Those VP boosts through BP were great while they lasted. But there's only a limit to the absolute amount a user can get and that's 16.00 and only one user can obtain that. I doubt there will be more ways to boost the VP other than experience points and BP in the future. But who knows.. this site seems to be full of surprises at times.

Well I never was competing with Yoink, Vp to me was a way to help me better Blam and Save. Heck msot peopel didnt even relize till recently that he would end up number 2.
