Makes you wish you were living in Victoria, huh? 10 inches of snow. Insane. Well, I was happy with my light covering of the stuff. The neighbors still had a 2-foot-tall snowman standing this morning (with an umbrella for shade), but he was doomed with that sun coming up...
My dad's parents lived in Victoria for a couple decades. Just before dad's dad died, they'd moved to Cuero (just a bit north of there)... so... when I said I was leaving town to go visit my grandmother, I meant, in more detail, that I was going to be driving down US 59 most of the way to Victoria before turning off on some side roads to get to Cuero.
And so I did, and so I witnessed many inches of snow. Maybe not the full 10-12 inches that fell on Friday the 24th, but QUITE a bit was left on the freeway and alongside it for Christmas, as my gf and I cruised down the slick pavement. I lost track of the number of SUVs pulled over with families having snowball fights or sledding down enbankments from overpasses. Heh... it was quite fun to see, but not quite as nice as having the snow itself fall on me (so I got a bit of that on Friday and then a ton of it on the ground on Saturday... best of both worlds, I suppose!).
So you've family in the Victoria area too, eh wot? My mom's family is mostly in the Hempstead/Prarie View/Chapel Hill area, my dad's family is mostly in the Cuero-to-Austin area.

Thanks mate. You know how I abhor these forums, hence the lack of posting. This is pretty much the only thread I keep track of. ;)
I am honoured!

Wow, silly me. I didn't realize that the list was updated a little while back. I finally made it to the top 500, Gfox! I finally made it! ;D
Silly you indeed! It isn't just updated "a little while back," it's updated every single Saturday! Or, at least, it has been for over four months straight now. Congrats on entering the list! I figured you would have seen the "updated list" notices on RG BBS, if nothing else. #;-}>

Yes, folks... on the road that day... it seemed that Tom Hanks had, in fact, encounted a massive Snow Problem.
Aha! Best one yet, I need to think up a good for this one (should be interesting, due to it being past 4am and I'm tiiired.).
Mwahahaha. #;-}> Anyway, why would you need to think up a good one for this one? You've got until Saturday to think up another good one! Oh wait... had you not thanked me for this past update yet? Nevermind if so...
It's no problem (wink to MPA).
Too sly gfox, too sly.
... don't make me think of Kajagoogoo songs or however the fuck you spell those bastards' crappy excuse for an 80s band. O_O
I always read all of your list comments, so keep them up.
I was specifically referring to a couple of people who recently let me know that they particularly enjoy my list comments, even if the list data itself isn't that great that week. I appreciate all forms of list-appreciation. :::nods:::
combined VPs of the five centuries:
001-100 -- 1045.83 (+2.56)
It looks like we are still kicking ass and taking names, or however that saying goes.
+2.56 is ALWAYS good. Huge part of that was from the top 25 alone, though. You 26-100 people need to step it up this week! #;-}>
057.) 10.02 +0.02 MPA +1
Oh how I used to take +1's for granted, they are basically all I can hope for now.
Indeed, indeed. Racing towards the top 50 at a sluggish pace... but that'll have to do.
One day Tom Hanks was on his way to Texas to deliver something. As he arrived at the airport in Indiana he was greeted by security, telling him there would be no flights happening today due to security threats and he should go find a hotel. He told them "There must be a some way, for I must deliver something important!" The guards told them nothing could be done. So as he was on his way to the nearest hotel an idea flashed before his eyes and he went to Big Bob's Jet Shop and proceeded to buy his own private jet. After dropping 8 figures and learning how to fly somehow he flew to his destination and hand delivered this post.
(ha ho he ho ha)
Gfox loves snow. He loves just about everything about it, save for driving on it, perhaps... so anywho, living in coastal Texas presents a bit of a roadblock to seeing snow most winters... however, in the winter of '04-'05, Gfox found that he got to experience some snow on both Christmas Eve AND Christmas Day! Yes, Virginia... it seems that for once, Gfox didn't encounter a lack-of-Snow Problem this year.

By 0.02 this past update. And by 0.01 the time before. And 0.01 and 0.00 and 0.01 or something like that the previous updates. It's not going up THAT fast. Relax! Just get as many b/p as you can per week... and make sure to deposit all 7 days of each week... and you WILL make it here before you know it.

That should make him break the 15 VP Barrier for sure, and ramagi isnt even 13.5 yet... and wont hit that for a lonnnnnnng time.
There are others in the running for hitting 13.5 VP in the meantime. It's all up to their b/p rates.

And aye to you as well. You, MPA, X... all so close to the top 50. But I hope you're enjoying the top 60, at least. Good luck to all of you, and have a fun-happy-VP-time! Update will be as usual this weekend, though I'll be busy most of New Year's Day. Should be able to sneak it in early in the day just like last weekend, no problems. Anyway, this concludes my mini-catchup for today. (yawn) Laters, all!
