Welcome to the first 2005 update of the Top 500 Voting Power List! #500 is up from 7.31 VP to 7.32 VP. The number of tracked people in the spreadsheet is frozen at 1283 until ShittyKitty gets back from his winter vacation in mid-January and resumes data pulls for his NGTL.

There were five rankups in the top 100 VP this week. Congrats to HAQnSPITT, moongod, Fizzle, Denvish, and Dekathos. SUPER congrats to moongod for that MASSIVE +0.51 EG General boost. There sure are a helluvalotta new EGGs lately, ain't there (2 last week, 1 this week, looks like another one next week)? :::whistles::: Also... congrats to format on hitting 10.00 VP. I'm happy to see HAQ rankup, as it's been awhile since she has... but I confess that it doesn't make my own VP-ranking-improvement goals very easy... there goes another slow-moving-b/per who was within my reach. I have to hope that DrMSM doesn't rankup anytime soon, basically.

HAPPY 2005, ALL! The holiday season is finally in the rearview mirror. Good or bad, it's simply just... passed and past. I ended up with some snow in Texas for Christmas, the extended edition LOTR:ROTK DVD set, and my new #2 spot on the top 50 b/p list... Those were pretty much the highlights of the past week for me, not too shabby. Near future? How's a bronze->silver upgrade sound? I can't wait. So tired of this level 17ness. 17. Bleh. Too much like 37. Stupid prime numbers ending in 7! 18 + silverness is 10x better. Okay, enough rambling. I'll just end this can't-think-of-much-to-say about-the-actual-list-update final paragraph by noting that it's been great doing this list for the last month of 2003, EVERY single month of 2004, and now (beginning) the first month of 2005. When you rank up... once, you mean. Two or three times should get you there. I know that's not very doable at your current rates, but if you stepped 'em up a bit, it'd be very doable. Along with the ever-increasing exp, eh? People are always dropping ahead of you. I know there's not many right at the bottom of the top 100 right now (much to my surprise over the past couple of months), but... eventually they will trickle down from the 30-70 range or so.

I will probably reach the last rank before I reach level 14 and I'm depositing every day, it could even happen a few days after I level up to level 13 so I expect my vp to get a low vp for a egsc. Not as low as Bonus's vp when he will reach that rank though.

Others have reached EGSC with less than 10.00 VP as well, and others will continue to. As long as there are people who begin b/ping as soon as they start an account, and have a b/p rate that far exceeds their NG-maximum-limit-imposed exp rate... there will be 9.xx EGSCs. #;-}>

As long as you aren't missing deposits, though, you'll be fine in the long run. And isn't that what it's all about, eh?
