I will ask reviews for these three submissions
They are Techno/Trance songs.
Hey guys,
I've never written dubstep before, so I decided to give it a try in a remix of one of my favorite songs. I'm not too fond of the actual genre itself because most tracks I find full of headache-inducing noise, but I love the unique sounds most have, and the I heart the wobbles. <3 So I had to try. :)
So what I'm asking to be reviewed specifically is:
1) the overall quality of the song (does it sound professional? does it have potential to get noticed?),
2) the transitions between the trance/dance portions and dubstep portions of the track,
3) the intro and outro,
4) the choice of instruments,
5) the quality of the effects used and if the track sounds as if it's mastered correctly,
5) can it be rightfully called a dubstep track? (I believe it qualifies, but it's my first one and I'm unsure),
6) what are your favorite parts of the track? (mine is 3:02 and after),
7) anything else you want to comment on (critiques, feedback, etc)
I apologize if the list above makes me sound like a whiny kid, haha - but those are the areas I'm specifically interested in improving when it comes to writing music. I'm always looking to learn new things and NG has been invaluable in teaching me how to become a great artist. I'm really looking forward to your reviews and anything you have to teach me I'll be greatful for. This is also my first post here asking for a review.

I felt like this song was extremely underrated, I'm more proud of it than I am about a lot of my other songs, actually. It captured what I was going for perfectly.

I remember when I used to do that, but now it's a more sedate pace, getting my work done a bit at a time, a couple of reviews per day. One week, I may even get 100% again, who knows?

Wow, a week where I gain more than 100 points? That's impressive and the only way to get better would be to manage another 17 this week. Not sure that will happen, but I'll give it a whirl, see how things pan out.

"If y'all had a team name what would it be?"

Heyo! Another art for you guys! I really appreciated the reviews on the last one I posted, so thanks a lot. Getting feedback on stuff really helps me feel like I'm not just pumping out random crap to clog the intertubes with a slurry of lame content that nobody cares about, and I just wanted to say that, even beyond the useful reviews, you guys are helping me get better by motivating me!

Am I going to get kicked out if I'm painfully honest about my ratings? I give everything a 5 but I feel if I think something is a 1, 2, 3, or 4 then I think I gotta rate is that or I'm lying to the artist and then my review isn't as strong to them..
If a lot of people see anything above a 6, they assume they did great.
and I meant I vote everything 5, not rate it all 5...
but the 1, 2, 3, 4 was for the rating system of 1-10.

No, certainly not. I have given a few ratings below five (even a 1 once), and it doesn't matter. At all.
But most of the time, if a person wants its flash/audio/art reviewed, he/she put some time in it.
Voting 5 on every flash is a bad habit though.
The Review Request club, the Blammers List (update every 15th), and the Protectors List (Update every 1st). My sig has it all.

Ahh, I vote 5 on every audio, not flash, but to be honest if I don't wanna give a flash a 5 I usually just don't vote. I'd rather not lower someone's scores.

As far as voting or reviewing should go, you should always vote or score fairly. There should be no exceptions. If you choose to vote on the submissions, think was it really good, really bad or somewhere in between. Vote according to what you feel it deserves, don't just vote 0 or 5, depending on which way you wish to swing it.
Similarly, with reviews, don't give it a 10, because it's above average - save that for the cream of the crop and give it what you feel it deserves. Don't assume that the author is a conceited prick and would only find that you have issue with their work if you gave them 4 points lower than the average of 9. Give them the benefit of the doubt that they will read each and every review that is left for each piece. Again, score what it deserves.
