Not quite as old as the Ming Dynasty, and not really as pretty either. Unless...

no what I meant that his hip cracked and is fragile like a vase... what did you think I was meaning....
Anyways... I have a comment other than the flames winning 5 in a row! tonight...
Can anybody write a funny comment to describe the pain of Kippersof's hamstrings? here mine!!! Oh God They're on Fire, they burn. They're on Flames!
something tells me he goes to make a save, and his legaments pop out and he makes a funny sound!

I was being sarcastic - you don't seem to understand that.

In other words, no, you can't
Over the Flames in Calgary, the smoke is rich with the smell of Kippers and smoked ham.
But why don't the Flames get a decent back up goalie, so they don't have to rely on Kiprusof all the time? I fear he'll just collapse one night from a stroke. They've played him pretty much non stop since 2004. It's only human.
the sound of Kiprusof breaking under the pressure is "Bang!", serious!

And on that note, it looks like the West will win :P
Still, there's a lot to be said for those bench players like Ovechkin, isn't there?

Perhaps you had some sort of fetish for hips, I don't know you.
TSN should win an award for showing off all these hilarious pictures xD
Somebody wanna tell me what is up with rookie goaltenders this year?
Pekka Rinne?
Steve Mason?
I think...I hate... dick.
Here's an intresting insider tidbit, that a fan pointed out about Kiprusoff. He just needs 22 more wins to break Brodeur's record of 48 wins, in a season. There are 39 more games left. Now I know you guys don't like Calgary Flames, but that would be interesting to see right? Speaking of Which. I wonder how Brodeur's year is going? he was 4 games shy of 48 I think.
Iggy hasn't scored in a long time. He's cooling down, and a Cold Phaneuf scored the winning goal tonight!

I don't think there's anything up with them - they are just quietly going about doing their jobs and doing them quite well.

Yeah, you're not losing points every time you go on the ice - can't be long before our coach give Raycroft the starter's job over Budaj, who hasn't been playing very well this year.
anyone care to place bets on how long it is before the Isles decide to pick up Martin Gerber?

What, because they lost Wade? A few weeks yet. I wouldn't rule out the Avs making a play for him either :P

That and because we're trotting out Yann Danis and Peter Mannino. Although I hope they don't make a run at Gerbs, I don't trust Garth anywhere near enough that he wouldn't do it.

You know that Garth is only going to buy goalies that make him look like a good goaltender :P
The only one who is going to stick around is Rick. He might make you a force to be reckoned with again for next year.
Big hockey fan and I'd love to join this group if it's cool.
East: Toronto Maple Leafs (been a fan since I was a kid I know they suck but have to stick with them ;))
West: Detroit Red Wings

Trade rumours are starting to fly around regarding the future of Minnesota's Niklas Backstrom.
He's a good young goaltender and would be a great match for a team in the playoff hunt.
Teams like the Avs and Isles who might like him shouldn't be in the running, as he could have a good effect on these teams, but not good enough to get them playoff hockey.
Maybe someone like the Pens or Sens would be interested in a trade for him though...
I just read that Global, fired one of their Volunteer cameramen (for the community Hockey games), because the boy wanted to converse with Don Cherry. They claim that the rules stipulated that volunteers were to have no contact with VIPs and what not. The Teen, being handicapped forgot this rule, and approached the very approachable Cherry, who wouldn't?!?!?
And now the volunteer has been "fired" huh?!?! how the hell do you fire a volunteer??? Don Cheery is of course upset, and when the old coach gets upset, uh oh! Don was upset that Global dragged his "name in the mud", and deliberately wears goofy ties, to attract children to inquire about them. Which is what the boy did!
And now, representing the lowest team in the Western Conference, it's the Colorado Avalanche!
Look out, Islanders, we're coming to steal your draft picks!

And as I say that, we can't even finish last right - COL 4-3 CGY
We were far from spectacular and the main issue has become faceoffs, as now, not even our great faceoff takers (Sakic & Stastny) can save us from their positions in the executive box. Our leaky defence needs a boost, but it looks less evident when we can't win a crucial faceoff.
I swear, if we run off another 2nd-half surge again and fuck ourselves out of the #1 pick, i might have to take up self-mutilation as a hobby.
ATLANTA DOES NOT NEED ANY MORE YOUNG TALENT. take your Bogos and your Peverleys and your Littles and your Espositos and your Enstroms and your Pavelecs and shove 'em.

How about changing the Franchise name to the New York Emos?

Damn right they don't need any more talent - Colorado need better scouting to pick the good talent when the draft picks are there.
We'll be changing our team name to the Kansas City ____s soon if they don't get The Lighthouse Project fucking started

He let in 2 goals yesterday against the Kings which he should have stopped. He got pulled out after letting in 3 goals. Let's see if Backstrom is really worth the contract he signed.

He will either tough it out with the Wild or he will get traded to someone where he shows that he can be a top class goalie. Kind of like some guy named Theodore, before he went to Washington :P
Johnny Tavs is gonna look good in royal blue & orange.
maybe hedman

Wow...thats kinda weird, everything you've just posted I was about to post lol.
Anyway, I'm from Detroit and I love the wings, but...has anybody heard their slogan this year for the playoffs? .......Here we grow again...? Really?! My goodness whoever came up with such a crappy slogan should be put to death.
