It's true, he'll win it, even though there are 10-11 goaltenders that deserve it more. ah, well.
After Pahlsson got jobbed out of the selke last season I don't really put any creedence at all into the awards.

His peripherals would say otherwise.
Also, I would NOT like to be Patrick Thoresen right now...
WASHINGTON (AP)-Flyers left wing Patrick Thoresen was taken to the hospital for tests after getting hit in the groin by a shot off Alex Ovechkin's stick during Philadelphia's 5-4 loss to Washington on Friday night.
"He's going to the hospital to get an ultrasound done on his testicles. It's bad enough they may have to remove one," Flyers general manager Paul Holmgren said. "Right now, we're not sure how serious it is, but there's a chance he may need surgery."
95+ MPH of hard rubber coming at your bait & tackle, god damn.

Additionally, you're making too big a deal about a shutout. Kari Lehtonen recorded 4, so? Also worth noting that he only had to make 21 saves in order to record it.
I'm referring to the one that Nabby put on the Flames. That's got to count for something, yes I know that the writers shouldn't let the player's postseason performances influence their decisions, but I feel that when he's had to make 21 saves - one spectacular one in particular to prove the point.
Anyway that aside, we lost last night and while I'd have liked to see a 2-0 series lead for the Avs, all is certainly not lost at 1-1, going back to Denver. Looks like we've got a good series brewing there.
Sean Avery and Henrik Lundqvist got the job done for the Rangers last night, as they took a 2-0 lead over the Devils. I'm not a hater of Marty Brodeur, but I can't stand the Devils as a franchise.

Eh...poor former EDM Oiler thoresen.
Ducks got destroyed again, and truth be told, it could easily have been much worse.
It's kinda odd though, I'm not too invested in things this go around. Last year I was living and dying with every shift, my next breath dependent on the next pass, shot, goal. Now, after having seen my team win it, I'm just 'meh' on the entire thing. They won the championship, and as far as I'm concerned they get 25 years worth of free passes before I get antsy for another parade with Stanley.
So go get 'em, guys. Or not, it's okay.
Sharks play tonight at 10pm on CBC.
Watch it on T.V!

It was probably bad enough that NBC analyst Mike Milbury referred to the Washington Capitals during Sunday's telecast as the "Crapitals." But what he said about Alexander Ovechkin could unleash the beast that lurks within the Russian sniper tonight in Game 3 at the Wachovia Center.
Speaking about the Capitals' effort in the 2-0 Flyers victory, Milbury said of Ovechkin's play, "If it looks like a dog, barks like a dog, it is a dog.
Why do they let this fucker anywhere near the game of hockey anymore? He's calling out Ovechkin's style of play? This, the man who traded Roberto Luongo, Olli Jokinen, Todd Bertuzzi, Zdeno Chara, the pick that led to Jason Spezza, Bryan McCabe, Tim Connolly, Chris Osgood, Taylor Pyatt and Raffi Torres for Mark Parrish, Trevor Linden, Oleg Kvasha, Alexei Yashin, Mike Peca, Justin Papineau and Janne Niinimaa?
I think he needs to shut the fuck up.

Okay, Crapitals made me giggle. But yeah, he's an overbearing jackass.
Speaking of shitty trades involving Janne, Ribiero, anyone? Negro's been getting belted all over the place and keeps lighting the lamp on my poor ducks.

LOL, we'll let AO's hockey do the talking.
And speaking of Hockey talking, the Avs took it back to the Wild last night and put 5 past Backstrom. Now we need to carry this momentum into Minnesota and try to come back from there with the chance to advance.
We're getting production from all over, which is nice - if we can concentrate on shutting down Miiko Koivu, we'll have a chance to do just that.

>>> Cheechoo is a great Athilete, Excellent lungs, excellent speed, excellent stamina, flexible limbs, doesn't blow all his genetically endowed gifts on booze or drugs. He'll go far in his career. Wonder why he doesn't play with Team Canada? He's an excellent role model for the game for being clean. Well Iggy is also very clean cut too. Moosejaw Saskatchewan... Say Dark, do you ever think we'll see a NHL team in Saskatchewan in our life time? Many Albertans are being drawn back to a revitalized Saskatchewan economy, and to live in a friendly city, where they won't get robbed by bankers in Calgary, or robbed by crackheads in Edmonton. well that and 2 hours to work really blows, verses 15 minutes to work. Hell they can jog to work.... and 27 G for a nice house, verses 500 G for a nice house.
Well if the Sharks defeat the Flames...... I hope either the Sharks take it, because the Cup couldn't go to a more nicer guy. (Cheechoo), either that or the Red Wings. Chellios came sooooo close... soooo close. Unfortunatly, the Flames are destined to win the cup.

Not that it's really news, but the Pens swept the Sens out of the playoffs.
Coop's score is currently 1 prediction from 1 so far. Could get another one tonight, if Montreal gets the win over the Bruins, which I'd expect them to do with their form of late. Carey Price seems to be making the Montreal faithful regard last season's goalie as Cristobal Whoet?
Seriously, a .957 Save percentage?! It'll be interesting to see how it stacks up in the second round. Of course, for them to lose in the first round, it would severely mess those number up in 3 games :P
Talk about overrating a guy...

It' 1-1 in the game atm.

Clean-cut, perhaps. All-Star? No. Great? Not even. Byproduct of Joe Thornton? Most likely.

Yeah, I was just correcting the spelling. It's something the UK tabloids would have a field day over.
e.g. When England advanced to the knockout stages of the World Cup in 1998, we were going to play against Spain. The headline was "Bring on the next Juan", which made me cringe.
Still, I've got reason not to cringe this morning, after Jose Theodore stopped 38 of 40 shots in a 3-2 win over the Wild. 80% of teams who win game 5, when a series has been tied at 2-2 go on to win the series, so that's a good omen. I'd like to see it confirmed when we play the Wild in the Pepsi Center on Saturday Night... might have to make that a late one and get some beers in!
Good win for the sharks.
They got the day off today.
