You got the better end of the Ryan Smyth trade, I don't know wtf you are blabbering on about...you got two former first-round picks, both with high upside. Robert Nilsson is a tremendous player and could be very good down the road, like top ten winger good. I mean, we took him ahead of Zach Parise, Ryan Getzlaf, Mike Richards, Corey Perry, Ryan Kesler, Brent Burns, and Steve Bernier, so there is definitely something there that made him so coveted. He's a great offensive player, but he's kind of scrawny. Ryan O'Marra has some good upside of his own, and he's not too shabby of a player, though he's pretty raw as a prospect. In addition to these two, you got our 1st-round pick in this years' past draft, and you used it on Alex Plante, who looks like a decent prospect (I don't know much about him but he did have 30 pts and 81 PIMs in 56 games last year as an 18-year-old, so that seems pretty damn good to me for someone that young).

You know what we got? 18 games, 15 points, 14 PIMs.

Joffrey Lupul wasn't a bad trade, he wasn't going to produce like he is in Philly on a team like the Oilers, and they got a decent prospect back in Joni Pitkanen, who's a lock for 40-50 points if healthy.
