Oh yeh I can explain that one.

Last update I accidentelly missed the 1 and hit the 2. I noticed that it was very unlikely that EagleRock would get that many points. So I manually changed it in a word document. I must have forgot to change the total points one.

I almost gave him 1000 this week as well. It seems I have a tendancy to miss the 1 number in 31000.

I will fix it by next fortnight for you! Thats my first mistake in a while. You gotta give me credit!

Pretty much see the post above yours. You are a good poster (I've seen you in the BP 51+ thread in Wi/Ht), and you post a lot in that forum helping people, which is certainly a good thing. Some of your posts are a bit short and lacking content- you will have to work on that and make an effort to post better. But you have the required number of B/P points (1500, or EG Private), so there is no problem in that regard.

If you want to join then post a request to do so, and try and say why you want to be a part of this club etc. Certainly try and include more content than your first post here. Read the FAQ linked in my sig, and therefore familiarize yourself with the rules. Once that is done I think you are good to go :)

Why I want to join? Because I'm a sociable person who wants to talk with some users who do the same thing as me (B/Ping), and that I want to keep the portal safe from any "insulting" flashes.

The county I live in is essentially broke so now job for me this summer. I don't know what I'll do for money.

A girl I had a crush on in junior high accidentally got pregnant and lost the baby. Her "friends" are making fun of her because she "disobeyed God". It's fucking sad and I feel so bad for her. I had a very strong feelings for her and I wish there was something I could do to help her. For now, her life is ruined.

My aunt has cancer in her lungs, kidneys, and spleen. She's morbidly obese and has diabetes. Any sort of treatment will more than likely be a health risk. This is my great aunt Joyce. I've always loved her. She never minced words and she is a very loving person. She is my granddaddy's sister. My granddaddy is a big, tough man. He's seen a lot of bad things in his life and never flinched. Tonight, I saw this man cry. I cried, too.

That's great :). Welcome to the EGB! I saw your post in the other forums as well, and I just validated you there. Other than that do your duty to the portal, and make sure you know the rules as stated in the FAQ. You may want to look over the last 5 pages or so as well to see how things are around here.

Hopefully this will go a bit better than last week! It took me a while to come up with a good submission to review, but I hope you all like my choice.

This weeks submissions is Randomness of thinking , which I hope you will all agree is well worthy of a few reviews. Both the Turd of the Week and the Underdog were spam submissions, so neither is appropriate after last weeks problems.

Same rules as always, you have one week to review (and PM me/ post when you have done so I can keep track of who is taking part). From this week we will be judging submissions using a panel (currently myself, PenguinLink and ILC), with reviews being ranked from first to last. Please don't be offended by our marking, rather take it as an incentive to do better next time. After all this is meant to be a bit of fun, and a way to improve our reviewing skills.

The more people who take part the better, so get to it!

I doubt there will be any change in power with the new layout, as nice as it would be. i thin kthe current voting power is pretty much fixed, as the admins don't want to give too much power to individual users. After all it is meant to be a voting process, not just one person's opinion. I do hope they crack down on spam submissions soon though.

It wasn't the worst submission, but still a spam one. Last week I had a bit of feedback saying people would rather review submissions that are trying to be good, and with authors who genuinely need a bit of a advice to improve, rather than those that have no intention of improving. I was going to go for the underdog, but that is spam as well, so instead I hand picked one from the 50 most recent that fitted that description. Of course there is no harm in reviewing the TOTW as well :)

Good to hear you are facing your problems head on and not letting them get you down. We've all been there, I'm sure, and indeed talking to people is the best way to begin to put things behind you. Sometimes it can be with a relative, or a friend, and sometimes I find talking to someone I don't know that well can really help, as they have no preconceptions of you.

I hope things begin to turn around for the better from now on :)

Well, I think the portal has been a little slow, but I think it's been fairly average. I got my usual 40 points and I have another 24 points brewing. I hope I can get most of those. Yes, the Elite Guard Barracks Roster constitutes of the averages of B/P points each member in here obtains every other week. The list is also updated every other week. And yes, you'll be added into the list if Sterockicy remembers to do so. Which I'm sure he will. :)

so everybody ya think the porttal has been slow lately?

The Portal has been at an average pace these past few days. (Excluding the Spam Attack on Monday, which I unfortunately missed). A couple of times it has been fairly slow, but overall it has been at a stable pace. And please try to keep your posts above one line, we don't have to remind you every time you post in here.

Yes, the Elite Guard Barracks Roster constitutes of the averages of B/P points each member in here obtains every other week. The list is also updated every other week. And yes, you'll be added into the list if Sterockicy remembers to do so. Which I'm sure he will. :)

No, I said every other week. Not the following Monday (Or Tuesday in Sterockicy's time zone) but the one after it. Which is to say, the next update will be on the 28th of May. I also noticed you're not too far away from being in the 300 B/Pers list, either. Although you still have approximately 300 ranks to go in order to be on the list, those remaining ranks you have yet to pass will go by fairly quick. :)
