Not shir what your askin. You can load a midi into fl and change the midi patches as well as chang them to bettar synths, but if your gona take a whole midi and change it to mp3 and call it a remix please dont bother doing that since it has no skill invalved and not trully a remix. and if thers spelies misaks sorries...im pretty dizzy right now :)

Your vwery welcome

nono i meant, i want to like take the instrument it is being played in, and change it to another, then insert the midi into a differant beat/line w/ differant sfx so its a remix. I currently want that mine level from donkey kong country 2 mine song to change from piano to strings, and extract/remove some of the sounds that give it its "mine" effect.. link here - midi link another one, sounds almost same.. other midi

On the demo version is there any way to make the loops longer other than increasing the number of bars?

Response to Ask your FruityLoops questions here 2006-07-15 15:51:47

Maybe you could take a low tempo song and build it up like a fast one from there. :/ It's been so long since i used the demo, actually i dont think there was such a limit on the one i used.

I dunno if this has already been asked, maybe didn't look hard enough, but I have a question about packs.

Right, so I have a bunch sounds for Hip Hop and Dance and Real Drum Kits and all that shit. But I only have so many, and I've used just about every sound I have at my disposal.

Where can I find or download MORE samples for fruity loops?

My best tip would be to start by looking all over the freakin net...which you've probably already done. Next, get familiar with the Beatslicer in FL. It'll let you take ...say...a wav clip of a drum loop you like and cut it up to use just the drums or whatever that you want in your own rhythms. If you already did that, try using the synths as much as possible. If you get familiar enough with the synth and sound editting engines in FL, you could make an entire tune by just tweaking the heck out of one sample. You can pretty easily take a piano sound and make it into most of your drums if you've got the time and the familiarity with the modules in FL. Good luck. Have fun.
It's probably good to be reminded that the sounds aren't very important overall. Just listen to the radio, half the non-mainstream hiphop, and most of the main-stream stuff you hear could have had its entire drum beat done on a 404. lol.

So..

Question:

When FL is set to Song instead of pattern, the song moves to the next PAT row, right?

GAH, okay, thats about thige stupidest thing I've ever said. Sorry, I'm tired.

What I meant was..how do you make full songs instead of just little loops?

Ok: You're close.
Your loop's are certain "patterns" which is what your song consists of, you might noticed the "Pat" selector next to the tempo.
You will be able to create full length song's with the help of putting the patterns together. Anyways, When you're done with a pattern, simply press F5, giving you the Playlist. Press the line where the "pattern 1" text is.
A white block should appear. This block symbolizes how long the pattern is.
Put alot of these blocks together, and you'll have a full song.

Hope this helps.

Is there any way to get a finer movement in automation clips?
I know how to use them, but I'm trying to automate a tempo clip and it's too hard to get the automation clip's different little points to the right tempos. Is there a way to tell it an exact number for each point in the clip?

Silly little scientists, killing everything. They only want to find out what it means to think in strings.

That means that your sample isn't loaded.
Probably because your computer can't find it (often because it doesn't exist)

But that's the weird thing, i DO have the sample......
The channels which are red are almost all drum channels.

By having a web-bought copy of FLStudio.
If that's the case all updates will be free.

Couple of basic questions:
1. how do I increase the tempo at the start of the song? (I turn it up, but when i play it goes back to the way it was)

2. How do I agust the volume? (same prob as with the tempo)

Thanks (for when you anwser)
