thanks for the helpful hints- stickmen are the foundations of animating, so I'll give it all a shot. and to the guy below me- i got mx 2004, and it does have the onion skins. its by the keyframe area, and to turn it on use the button that looks like a blue square on top of a slightly transparent blue square. press f7 to operate it though ;) saves you deleting your previously used frames.
