Good Job
This was really good. It makes me glad tht my life doesn't suck as bad as Jerry's. Everything was good about it, even without voices.
One of the greatest flashes I have ever seen.
Graphics - Solid, everything looked nice, and the soft, round cartoon style of the characters, albeit the fact that they're easier to animate, took me out of everything just a little bit, because I may be weird in thinking this, but when I watch flash cartoons like this that are based in reality, I like to pretend and get a mental picture to see what it would be like if it was actually happening. In usual Newgrounds terms, it was good however, because I have seen some awful animating skills.
Style - The style was great. I liked how there was no real talking at all, just the use of the rarely accented upon diegetic sounds, like the cash register, the shower, and later on in the flash, the baby crying. I also liked the cuts used, and how they got faster and faster as the story progressed, probably used to keep things interesting. I also enjoyed how the description just read "This is Jerry", because you left the flash to tell the story for itself, and the lack of description is the reason why I watched it in the first place.
Sound - Well, I could hear all the noise clearly, all of the sounds played at the points in the cartoon that made the most sense, and really without noise cartoons these days wouldn't get very far, so in those regards, you did good.
Violence - Other than the cashier girl punching Jerry in the face twice for grabbing one of her boobs and Jerry hanging himself at the end (if that can really be considered violence, to some people it probably could and would be), this wasn't very violent.
Interactivity - There was a start button, and at the end there was a button that allowed us to replay the flash cartoon, a button I used myself at least 3 or 4 times. That, and the button that linked the flash cartoon back up with Newgrounds.
Humor - I don't know if this flash was geared towards being funny in the long run, due to a lot of the subject matter and what happens at the end (I have no idea why I'm censoring myself now because I spoiled the ender already, but if you haven't already seen the flash and you're reading reviews to get other people's opinions to see whether or not you should watch this cartoon, friggin' watch it), but I know I laughed at a few points, namely where he gets slapped, the girls keep taking his money, and the unwanted (presumably at least) baby. I would label this flash under black comedy if I had to label it as anything.
Overall - Like I said in the summary, I really enjoyed this flash, and in my opinion it's one of my personal favorite flash cartoons that I've ever seen. It has a great story, the story was told in a unique and entertaining fashion, it had great elements of dark humor in it, ,and overall it was just tremendous, an opinion shared by the 3 or 4 people I've sent a link to this cartoon to after I watched it for the first time about a half hour ago now. This was a great flash cartoon, and I'm interested in seeing what else you have in store for us, the Newgrounds Gold.
With how I scored it the average would be 5.6, but that's nowhere near what this flash deserves, so I'm going to bump that up to at least an 8 or a 9. Woot, all by 5 definite r blong to this. Good show.
I liked it
I liked your display on how cruel the world/people are.
Good show.
