Bad.

The original was much better. The graphics in this one are good. The music is great. But the gameplay is severely lacking. It took me 5 days just to kill one person. Even after I had pooled all my points into upgrades, which is extremely hard due to the amount of points you are given each round. It takes up points just to do anything and even then when you have spent your points on an action it turns out to be a big waste. Then of course there is the part where the humans you infected just suddenly become cured. Even though none of the countries had developed even 1/5 of their cure and the effectiveness of my virus was pretty damn good. You can't even call this a "spin-off" it's more of a mockery. I could keep on stepping all over this thing but I think I'm gonna go play the original Pandemic to reassure myself that the original is much better.

Not an improvement

The whole idea of spending points to try and infect other places doesnt work, as you get points very slowly in this version, also its kind of hard to stop a place like the US from researching the cure when you start in southern Asia... Also, the upgrade system was boring and very harsh. In the previous one, you could become an invisible virus that wasn't lethal at all, spread through out the world and then crank up on the lethality.
This version is just too unforgiving. Not bad though

The Original was Better.

This game makes it a lot harder to spread and makes the cure come faster.
Also i dont really like the upgrade system.
Still its realy interactive, which is good.

Unlikely

I find it rather odd that with 0 lethality, 3 infectivity, 3 drug resistance, and the third turn in the game that somehow no humans remain infected. Did I mention that no nations had completed a cure?

Wasn't that great of a game..

The first pandemic, as a lot of reviewers have said, was way better than this spin off. You lacked interactivity, as we could only add points to three categories, and the countries started researching cures before the virus was anywhere near lethal.
