Reviews for "Well Enough Alone: Part 1"

Very good piece

This was a great introduction to a series, and I am greatly intrigued to see what comes next. I was quite impressed with the foundations of the storyline that has been laid down and I hope you get the next parts up as soon as you can.
The graphics were actually quite good. Though not entirely the best I've ever seen before they were much better than most. Thank god you didn't settle for stick figures like many animations do.
The final scene of New York being destroyed was well done... the only complaint I have being the water... something could've been done to make it look a little better, but other than that it was great.
Some of the voice acting was... okay, but for the most part it was well done. Good job finding those voice actors.
the music at the beginning was somehow very fitting... and at the end it just amped up the viewer (well me anyway) tojust want to grab at a sequel. Excellent choice in not having other music throughout the piece but relying instead on ambient noises. I thought that was quite the addittion to the piece.
Overall, it was very well done, I quite enjoyed it, I believe others will enjoy it if they can get over the lack of action due to the fact that it is indeed an introduction only.

nice

hey i like it. it had alot of detail in it and alot of good animaition...

Good stuff

hey hey, that was some of the most efficient, most stylish animation I've seen in a while. I'll look out for the next one to see where this story is going

So far so good

+Top class art
+Very good voice acting
+Very good sounds

OK animation as far as it went. Not very ambitious animation- everything done to avoid things like lip sync as much as possible, to the point that its obvious and a little annoying. faces move when we speak, so hiding the mouth was not enough to stop you from letting yourself down there.

You have set the scene well enough for something to happen, but nothing is explained yet. Now you must get together and plan a story with real characters and plot worthy of this artwork.

Full serials should have episodes long enough to explore people, places and action, with lighter and more peaceful moments to contrast with the action and drama. One needs at least glimpses of things like home life or family, background etc to remind us of what is at stake.

This has every chance of making it big time on NG. Take your time and make it the best you can. Keep the project going steadily, though- many fantastic projects never get finished here. Keep searching for the best talents available and get everything checked and alpha'd before subing parts.
Best Wishes,

Kuoke responds:

Yeah, I know the whole lip syncing thing, but I think at the time I was thinking that animating it at 42 fps would just be a pain, so I doged it as much as possible (Which won't be the case in WEA:Part2).

The reason that people arn't looked into is because none of these people are even close to the main character.

Thanks for the most informative review yet, IceDragon64.
