I loved both of these games so much, the're violent and cool and clever and entertaining too. i just wish we didn't have to pay in order to play the full version.
really good BUT
This game was good until they kill me and i start over and so on BUT again th last fatal error of swords and sandals 2 stupid and fuking anoying dumb luck how the hell a lvl 2 its with the most expensive equipment for that lvl i mean i iam with the damn cutpurse set minuis the helm and armor and this guy with more and a kick ass sword. that just make it one to be bored of being killed by a superior char.

good addtions with the church and magic store, day to night cycle,
i don't know about having requirements to use potions though.
the idea of ranged weapons is a good one
having people to go your site for a save file is not, is not a good idea to me, if you have a save file in a game have it every where, not just at the game hosted at your site
having your character defeated in a duel by a scream is not cool, and cost me about 1000 gold

I love both games, Swords and Sandals 1 and Swords and Sandals 2.
I understand putting a full version on a website, but oh so god - charging for it? Trust me, you would be better off setting up a donation service for money - not many sane people are going to pay to play flash games, you do that for MMORPG's and DVD's - but most of all, I feel as if you could of added alot more to the demo.
Newgrounds supports more file usage than the one this used - so I'm guessing alot more duels and tournaments could of been added to the demo. The more the merrier, anyhow.
You should join ArmorGames or something rather than Playaholics, there site navigation and loss of customization (I.e, not being able to move the flash to your needs - I personally have a better view of things from the right of my screen so I tend to place windows to the left) isn't as great as other hosting sites.
Listen to the pleas and begs, set up a 'Donate' function instead of making people pay for this game - people love this game, don't take the full of it away from us.

Graphics 9:
I love the graphic style of this, personally been doing graphics for around 3.5-4 years I like the way people have there own different way of expressing their artisticness.
Style 10:
The style in this game was mastered to near enough perfection, it was made to feel as if the whole arena setting was actually still happening today.
Sound 8:
The sounds were ok, the taunt's are really annoying - they sound weird. The music was decent, but could of been alot better.
Your enviromental sounds though were brilliant, like the sound of people going through the market when your standing in the middle of the streets.
Violence 9:
Very bloody and nicely done to my taste, although the blood didn't really look too real, it looked too thin and diluted.
Interactivity 9:
Mostly the whole game was based on interactivity, I only put down to a 9 because I didn't want to give 2 10's in a review.
Humor 7:
Your sense of humor is really great, I loved reading people's trivia's.. 'Bert Whalehead', his trivia was 'He hates drawing fish.' I guess it was the randomness that got me chuckling.
Overall 8:
A well balanced and clever game, congratulations - your next step to enlightenment is releasing the full version for free and setting up a donate function :)
