Reviews for "Lost Rhapsody 2"

I <heart> Monty Python references.

Great animation, Good song, and a Monty Python spoof makes it all that much better.

Fantastic musical LOST tribute!

A massive change from the first Rhapsody's animation style. Great mix of both rotoscoped animation and (mostly) tasteful bitmap-tracing. The animation was gorgeous and unrelentingly inventive - some of the parallels you thought up to fit the music were, like the original, brilliant.

Awesome movie, LOST fan or not. Fifened.

CapnBob responds:

Thank you sir!

Great!

That was great. However, for most who don't know, if you have photoshop, you can easily make those images, but I must praise you for making it move with almost no errors.

CapnBob responds:

Photoshop will make vector-based images that look like that? Hmmm... that would have saved time. I know filters that'll flatten areas of color a bit, but it's rasterized and I can never get it to look just right.

Still going strong

At first I was completely baffled by the graphics you used... they looked TOO good, especially compared with the simple animutation style in the first. I'm guessing you traced them from the show... looks pretty good.

I was surprised you continued with Weird Al, since I didn't think his random polkas combining all the different songs would still work, but somehow you pulled it off very well. Great use of the four-toed statue leg at the end... man, what was UP with that thing, eh?

I just have one thing I didn't understand. Somewhere near the middle, is there a reason the song messes up at the line "Until the sun comes up over Santa Monica Boulevard"?

CapnBob responds:

They're partially traced over photographs from the show, and partially drawn from scratch, with a few of the uglier shots created using flash's bitmap trace function. it's not always immediately apparent which is which.

As for the song messing up... if you've watched the show, then the image of the person "singing" the line should be explanation enough for the garbled sound. Walt was having some problems communicating with Shannon, remember?

Fantastic

You really hit the nail on the head with this flash, fantastic job. A treat for all lost fans. please continue and I hope to see another one with the impending end of the third season
