Reviews for "Lost Rhapsody 2"

W000 BLACK HOLE SUN :P

ROFL that was absolutely fucking retardedly awesome. Perfect song. Loved the first part/intro. Very well animated, even if rotoscoped. Lol w00 Soundgarden was in the song :D. Strangely enough I have Black Hole Sun paused right now o.O.

And the icing on the cake, a hilarious Monty Python style ending.

You win

Unexpected.

Wow... I completely did not expect that. Odd, but in an amazing way. Keep these up man, I needed that good laugh.

great flash

You've got a little over half there. You're starting to get close to the point that you might start noticing a pattern...

Incredible!

Meant to review this earlier. Sorry about the delay. :P

Review:
Well, I don't know much about lost, considering that I've never seen it, but I have to say that just by watching this video, you've got talent. I was dazzled by your 3-D animation at the beginning of the video! Astounding!

Graphics:
As I said, your three dimensional animation was incredible. I noticed that a lot of the images looked like traced bitmaps (yes, I know this issue has been brought up in many other reviews), but I can't blame you for using these. I understand how long the video is, and you made up for images in humor.

Style:
You created the movie in such a way that it flowed well with the music. I also really liked the look of your animation style.

Sound:
Good choice. I love "Weird Al".

Violence:
None that I could see, besides a few guys fighting. This movie had no need for it, however.

Interactivity:
This was a movie. None.

Humor:
I gave this a ten because of the responses I read from frequent viewers of "Lost". Besides, the characters were funny to watch, especially the way their mouths moved. :P

Overall:
I love your style. Keep up the great work, and I can't wait to see a future parody that may be aimed towards a show I watch a bit more. (Law and Order, perhaps?)

CapnBob responds:

Woo, an explanation of the score! Bonus! Thanks for putting together such a well-considered and nicely-formatted review. And I'm glad you like the video!

Sweeeeeeet!!!!

I agree, that was awesome. Better than the first. I'm not a huge fan of wierd al, in fact, I had never even heard of wierd al untill he made this. Hey Al, I have 3 questions:
1:How do you draw those characters so good?
2:I like the bit at the end with the circus theme and the statue squashing the Iraqy dude. Did you use that music from the Monty Python movies? If so, which one?
3:Will there be another lost rhapsody?
Hope those questions aren't too hard for you.

CapnBob responds:

Weird Al Yankovic arranged the music, which was recorded over 10 years ago. He's a multi-grammy-award-winning musician, you can find out all about him at weirdal.com. I don't think he's actually watched Lost, though.

1: I used photos and videos as a basis, either referencing them or drawing over the top of them depending on what I needed. The more I did, the better I got at them.

2: The theme at the end is the Liberty Bell, a march by american composer John Philip Sousa. It's used as the title theme to Monty Python's Flying Circus, the TV show. That's where the audio for the march and the pooting noise came from.

3: Only if inspiration strikes. I'm not going to sit down and try to force myself to do one if an idea doesn't present itself, but if a song strikes me that would be appropriate and I get some silly gag ideas then I might make another one.
