Could be better, but still good

Well i really liked the sword effects, those were awesome esspecially combined with the speed and pace of the game. The automatic restoration on your health was also really cool and helpful. Unfortunatly after like 2 or 3 levels it just becomes a game of repitition. I think it'd be much better if you got some power ups or something in then, also some health orbs or somethin would be nice, and by power ups i mean like permenant ones, and stuff to increase your strength or maybe so new swords that you can switch back and forth from for some added variety, like the generic small weak and fast swords, well rounded swords, and then the huge monsterously powerful, but monumentally slow sword. That'd be really cool. Another thing is that the lack of a pause button kinda sucked, but all in all this game is pretty fun, could be better, but a good job none the less.

Add a story plot, a special attack with a special bar, a greater variety of monsters, and you'd have a 1st place game on your hands! great work though. cool character, oh, and when u attack, it should have a better sound effect for the sword instead of the "swiping" sound.

Felt good for the first four levels

It was pretty slick, especially with the way the "world" kept tilting the way you are charging, although that doesn't really affect the fighting in any way...just a nice little gimmick.

The fighting is simple and addictive, but mainly because of the opponents. When the hero attacks with his sword I can't tell whether or not he has a grey stick or a sword in his hand; however the enemies' spears, axes and stuff look and feel good. Dodging by jumping around feels very satisfying, but just hammering the attack button for a bunch of times until its time to jump around again...is less than satisfactory.

After a while though there's too little variety, and the game starts to repeat itself too much.

you certainly got something here

it isnt bad, love the animation and the art style. but the gameplay itself needs something. other games make want to go all the way till the end, but in the case of this game I was just curious to see if you added some surprise.

youe character needs more moves, like an strike from avobe, a parry move, a grab mobe maybe, throwing knifes would be cool, and a roll over move you need that it makes boss-fights more interesting if you have a way to avoid their cool moves.

and the enemies, you did some attempt to diversify but they all still pretty much the same, they need to be alittle more aggressive and versatile. for example :
the beastman carrying spear, at some point he could throw it at you and switch to small sword. the basic beastmen wielding swords they resist too much in a boring kind of way, make them die faster but also make them more agressive and give them faster moves.

the boss fight was a little dissapointing, his attack rutine and movement need to be more elaborate.

the game is totally in the rigt direction but it isnt quite there yet. hope you keep working on it.

Liked it, but it would have been better with some upgrades or more moves.
Good effects and artwork though.
