Not too bad...

It was a lil bid bad.. becus why dont you have some almighty powers or magic or sumthing mayby more weapons creatures or levels.? ok .. i liked the sword effects .. but you need to make a better one..

Absolutely incredible, simple, fun and still some pretty sick gameplay. One of the best quick games on NG ... plz make more like this ::not to mention the artwork is gorgeous and quite stylized::

it was a pretty bad game because u dont have many attacks or great powers
i`ll hope u make a better one

SEQUEL HAS SO MUCH POTENTIAL.

not bad i gave it a 3. a sequel that has more attacks enemies and some new abilities would make it one of the best games ever. the style was great and the art was fantastic loved the enemy design. also i dont know if the whole ground tilt was intentional or not but it was... wierd, also the protgonist can have new weapons and the stages could be more elaborate but the sequel should still have the these-are-your-moves-and-wepons-for-the-whole-game-
and-thats-all-your-getting feel like this one did.

Not the worst

Okay, I am a fair reveiwer and I give just about anything a shot. And here is yours;

Graphics: The graphics were good, the enemies looked good and the sceens weren't too bad. How ever, when your char would move, the whole ground would tilt making me a bit disoriented.

Style: You went with a nice style and it wasn't that bad, but it has been done far to many time before. Ancient sword weilding guy fights monsters. Been-there Done-that.

Sound:The sound of the fire was good and the swings of the sword weren't bad, but that was it. You hardly heard anything else.
Violence:Not bad but, and some people would agree with me on this one, there could have been more. Usually in a game like this, if you got hit by a big sword you would be bleeding. Just my opinion.

Interactivity:Now, I rate interactivity by what you can do in the game. There wasn't much you could do. You could swing that bitty sword and you could jump. That's about it. You limited the game to the bare minimum. you should try branching out and making things you could throw or something along those lines.

Humor: Well, your game was more on the serious side, so it is quite obvious why I didn't give it a high mark on humor. Had in not been for those big fellows that spit fire, I would have givin it a 0.

That is my review on Year of the Snake. I give it a 2/5. If you add ina few more things and even add in a a tiny bit of blood and some more sound, it could be quite a bit better. Thanks for reading

The ground tilt seems to be getting mixed responses. Some really like it, while others feel it is disorienting. Perhaps I will have an option in future games to turn it off.

Definately not a new idea, but I like Ancient sword wielding guys.

I went with whimsical puffy smokey sword hits, and perhaps they were too subtle. Sorry to those who prefer blood.

Heh, I'm glad the big fellows got me a point of humor.
