Reviews for "Year of the Snake"

not bad

i like the graphics alot. the blue swing when he swings the sword is really cool, and the graphics are really smooth looking. the style is not original. the concept has been used many times before. i liked the sound especially becasue it wasnt some stupid repetitive song that goes on forever. it reflected the mood of the game as a quiet, oriental environment. as well, it wasn't a hard rock song as many of these types of games are. violence is self-explanatory. interactivity wasnt high because there wasnt really any combos. make that a future reference because aot of the reviews suggested it. humor, this wasnt meant to be humorous so it didnt affect the 4/5 i gave it. overall it was a good game, it could be better.

It was ok

The only problem is the lack of moves, if it had another hit button and some combo's it would be a better game, and it could be a lot longer. Not bad for a first game!

meh

it was pretty good, but not good for front page material; it was kinda fun, but not so fun that you'd go back and play it again. i bet this took a fairly long time, and was probably kinda frustrating to make, but i think you wasted your time. i probably would have rated higher if you put a difficulty setting on it, cuz this was too easy.

extremely well done game

the style is perfect, the use of the blade is awesome, and the graphics were great!
the only problem was movement, a bit slow, but the sword coresponded with it, so it was good too.
if you plan to make another one, make jumping a bit more agile(length wise) and put a cool jumping attack, just to give more fighting options(like zero from megaman).

Great Style!

The style in this game was amazing, and the graphics were very well done. I can honestly say that more games need gratuitous sword-trails and fire breathing pigs. A little on the short side, but a really graphic adventure. Good job.^^
