Where to start...? (SPOILERS)

I have also been waiting for this for a very long time, and up until now my favorite of this series has been part 3, because the music and the plot flowed together so well. I have since bought both the Braveheart and the LotR soundtracks, but the piece of music that plays while Toad is telling Mario what happened to the kingdom is on neither of them. Am I right in assuming it's a piece that came from Flashkit, then? Please reply, I'd like to know exactly how I can get it :)

This, however, blew me away. I am glad you ended your story as you wanted to, rather than as the cliche happy ending many of us are used to seeing. (Spoilers ahead) I was shocked when the Princess died, and even more shocked to see Mario die like that. And then the movie ended so abruptly... It was a very plain message: "It's over. It's all over." (Spoilers done)

In short...well done. Very, very well done.

It has been fun to follow this, and it had a really good plot, I congratulate you, for you have found your way through to my Fave list, no.2.

Anyway, review time:

- Graphics
Hey, Sprites, I love Sprites, big niner.

- Style
Style, if this submission had even more style, there'd be a whole new fashion line, big niner too.

- Sound
The fact that I don't like the ''Apocalyptic'' Themes from most films got the rating down a little, and the fact that there was nothing spoken was too bad aswel, but good, in a way. A seven.

- Violence
This was all about a war against Bowser koopa and Mario.. Eh.. Bros.
Violence an 8.

-Interactivity
Yet again, a film, no interactivity except for a button. Big round Donut 0.

Humor a three, because that's all it can really be..

Your overall is an 8. Well scored, keep on going, and stick with Sprites, you're good with them.

One of the greatest series ever

This series is the reason I even came to newgrounds. It's just so perfect... But I had pretty much accepted that the ending was never going to come, just like some other great series. This was a worthy conclusion, but I felt like you could have done a bit more (longer battles would have been amazing) but really... you've created one of the greatest Flash series of all time. Thank you so much!

I found the end music hilarious... cuz it was normal happy mario music. BUt that's just my sense of humor.

And to the previous reviewer and anyone else who cares, I believe THIS is the flash that inspired Rise of the Mushroom Kingdom, not the other way around. Just wanted to give credit where credit is due :D

Been waiting a LONG time for this mate, thanks for finishing it in the end. A tad grim though...

Think that you might have gimped out of building a better story by just killing everyone?

You finally made it!

My God! I waited forever for the series to come to an end! And I have to say that was an incredible, but a heart breaking, Super Mario story. The animation, even though it was played at 18 fps, was still smooth in a way. The style was amazing. For a Mario series, I've never seen a dramatic one with a dark story to it. The violence was intense in a dark way. The choice of music made the feature even darker, which made it look more interesting. The whole movie was spectacular!

And overall, you have done great! This is even better then Rise of the Mushroom Kingdom. I'll bet that inspired you to make this work of art, but that's just me. This, Ladies and Gentlemen, is the real work of a sprite cartoon. And for those who hated sprites for a long time should be ashamed for having such hatred. For cartoons like these is needed; entertainment, with an amazing overall feel to it!

I really enjoyed the last part of this flash cartoon. I know for a fact I can't give you more than a five, but I'll vote 5 at other times. You have a five from me and still it was awesome!! :')
