best Red Riding Hood i've ever seen...

i love this video. this interpretation is just as good as the classic (or even better) and by far beats the shit out of the sugary disney version. i love how it is much darker and very original and i love the animation. the audio was great too, because in a lot of the videos the narration can come out cheesy but this one pulled it off. the only thing that could have improved it marginally was to maybe get a different voice to play Red, although the you did a pretty good job considering you're... well...a guy. AWESOME!

Simply amazing.

It may be a bit darker than the original version (and definitely the disney-tized version), but no more sick and twisted than most other fairy tales (in their original form, at least). I was impressed by your reinterpretation, though. It can be hard to do that, especially with really well-known stories. I was also impressed by the voice acting. Many times speaking parts end up sounding rather cheesy. I think the movie could've benefitted from a greater difference between characters' voices, though then the voice acting would lose the "storyteller" feeling to it. This is definitely one of the jewels of newgrounds and I look forward to seeing more from you.

the graphics are great, but i just can't get over the sound. it's either the low sound quality, or the mic used to record it or whatever, but the hissing makes the dude sound like he has a lisp. or maybe he does have a lisp. but either way, it really kills the "dark mood" you're trying for, and makes me feel the same way i do when i see an emo kid. it's a shame really, because again, the animation and graphics are excellent.

A Darkest Twist on the Most Moralest of Stories

Ironic thing is that the story was built in the past to warn people not to trust strangers in that they might rape the person that followed them. This version of the story gives us a new moral. Don't trust strangers or you'll end up being a Cannibal's dinner. Good job on details. The Chastity Belt seemed a little overboard however, like it did not fit much into the main point of the story, other than to give a good reason why Red had to wait until adulthood to go out.
