I remember reading about somebody's theory about the world being a flat plate on the back of an infinite amount of turtles... can't remember were I read it though...

it's an idea based on an ancient myth common to many cultures, I'm sure you'll find it in many places. That story was referenced by one of the writers of Lost in an interview, and that's why I included the turtle in the video! I think you may be the first person to know the correct reason for the turtle being in the video.
